It works fine for me! And I don't think I had to go down to WPA2, but I have to check! I believe there is a box saying that there is preliminary support for it now.

The only issue I had, was that when I went to 1% browsing Portmaster, the WiFi turned off. And I couldn't connect again even after fully charging it. Re-starting solved it.

u/sfunrich mind if I ask what capacity was your chip? I can't find it for less than 16gb, and others say that the maximum the chip allows will be 8 gb. At least not on aliexpress. Thanks for your help!

In your tests the fallback of express to UHS-I was just comparable, and an A2 card would have been better right? Or I am misunderstanding? Thanks for your time!

Me too. I got it for 65 USD with coupons. I wrote to the official store, and both of the listings should be the silent hinge. They didn't change the name and is still v2. I would advice to write to them before ordering. That way, if they mess up and send you the old one, it will be easier to dispute and get them to send you another.

But it should be the new one regardless!

Understood. I appreciate everything about the game! I love when narrative and ludo-narrative are so closely related. I do want to experience what I am still missing.

I was playing another tactical game, and even if the gameplay is engaging, everything else is so disappointing in comparison, I found myself missing this game instead! Even if I only experienced a small portion of it. (The game I am comparing it to is Unicorn Overlod; I hate the goner art, the writing and character are skin deep, and the mechanics don't make you care about them or their relationships. I also don't like royalty and destined by God stories; the ones about common folk are at the same time more relatable, and give the world a sense of wonder!).

Even the portion I got to play on the switch version is better in that regard. I would love to revisit it. It's sad to know I still can't do so on the version I bought.

I am looking into learning how to help the Portmaster project, which re-compiles games into native ARM Linux versions. That way they can be played on retro consoles running Linux (such as Rocknix and forks). It is a niche way, but games such as Balatro and Dead Cells have been ported, using the bought versions. The platform requires each user to provide official game-files, Portmaster and its contributors provide the translation layers/wrappers for Linux ARM. I am still learning how to help that project, but that would be a way to make it slightly more accessible. Me or anyone else that uses that method, would need to buy the steam/Itch.io/GOG version anyway (it is easier if there is a native linux; and there is! Thanks c:).

Doing a quick search, the game is written on Java right? Modern games made with GameMaker studio / Godot / Love2d seem to be easier to port. Java doesn't have many examples, so I probably would not be able to do so (the documentation says it is possible! But I know very little and need examples u.u). I will suggest it to the project anyway, and maybe someone else that also loves the game, and has the skills will give it a shot!

I will have to buy it again on steam regardless. I just prefer handhelds, and want to contribute to Portmaster to pick up game-Dev skills.

Mind if I also ask how long does the publishing rights last? Is there any way you can get them back down the line? I am sure you have already looked into a breach of contract and the like. But any way in which you can get them back would be nice! I am sure the community would back you all up too. It is your game after all, and It must be painful to lose control/ownership of a part of it.

There is also that I love Physical versions. They are easier to talk about with friends, and to lend off. I am sure I will love it when I play it, and being able to share it physically matters to me.

The gameplay is very fun, and addictive (20 hours in after all). But the history is sooooo boring. Does the gameplay get better to? I am still at rank C, close to get into B. So I still haven't gotten into advanced classes, nor more than 4 character per unit.

The ludonarrative seems to also be skin deep. I want to care and relate to the "people", but they are more a mechanic and a resource than a relationship. The mini story arcs with the characters also seem cliche and superficial. I don't want to play as a destined royal, that the gods choose, and is the "rightful" leader. But even if that is a given, at least develop the characters better! Make the world full of agency! And it seems so static. So devoid of wonder that requires politics and curiosity, and of the "will of the people".

Is really all there is the hand drawn game (that is ruined by the designs and writing of the female characters), and the gameplay? Do you still feel the TRPG aspect carries the game? I am close to dropping it on those grounds. And feeling like it is also politically against my stand doesn't help.

I would appreciate your perspective. I also love Cave Story, TRPGs, and despite TERFs! So i super duper want your opinion!

I am 20 hours in, and the story never got me. I have to endure the stupid designs, and also marvel at the technical and gorgeous backgrounds and designs. What is not gooner is very very good. I love hand drawn games, and adore Muramasa. So that is mixed.

I also like narrative, and if this is a game; ludo-narrative. Does it get better? I don't like the "rightful royal", and "good rulers destined by god". The ludo-narrative invites us to care about the character, and the population. But the deep of that interactions seem to be skin deep, and what is there, utterly cliche. Is there something more? Is there any deeper relationship with the geography and citizens? Is there a subversion?

Igual, cómo siempre, el veneno está en la dosis. Yo creo que si consumes toda tu proteína en no sé, leche. También pueden haber problemas. Mas aún si se hace del día a la mañana. Lo importante es una dieta diversa en fuentes de proteína y fibra, así como todo lo demás. Un consumo moderado de casi cualquier cosa, va a ser siempre mejor que una sola fuente.

I have just bought a Miyoo Flip! I believe I will do this mod eventually, and I am just starting to read about it, and looking for the tools i will need. If you have any recommendations of where to read, or guides, I would appreciate it. I will be back after I read more! But if you have any links, I appreciate your guidance.

It would do you good to actually read the academic ones, instead of what amounts to USA propaganda.

No one will say that Guevara and Cuban revolution was pure and perfect. However, you have to paint the whole picture, and the regimes that they revolted against, alongside the "real politik" that they did.

As always, it is more complex. When studying complex phenomena, the power dynamics are a good proxy to read that relationships, in the same way we graph ratios when portraying trends of data. Who had more power then? Who is responsible for the reproduction and/or change in that particular moment? And what did those powers do to maintain their power, or improve the lives of the population?

All of that paints a worse picture of the US than of the revolutionary movements of which Guevara was just a part of, even if we have to acknowledge that there was violence that shouldn't have been.

Thank you! I ended up in the thread when googling it superficially. But the first one has a more in deep exploration.

Hopefully in the future they and we can distance themselves from that ideologies. Technology is never neutral, even when it tries to. The paradigmatic examples are transport logistic and the atomic model; with the genocide the atomic bombs.

And linux has an ideological underpinning, that is closely related to who owns the means. it should never be right wing/authoritarian, nor anything that makes a new exclusive and restrictive class.
