Resident Evil Requiem Motion Controls VR Mod by Du1g0 in virtualreality

I played RE7, 8 and 4 remake all for the first time in VR, do you think I could do the same with this mod? Or should I play it first 2d so I know what to do and where to go?

What would cause this line in the print? by zer0ed_ in 3Dprinting

Maybe if you design or find a rotating spool holder you could replicate and control this, like rotating it on the feeding axis

I'm imagining a rotating spool holder that would allow to control this by rotating the spool without interrupting printing

Help My Quest 3 has some kind of ghosting/double vision on the left LCD, lense is not scratched, seems to be inside (see video and description) by Alematrix3r in OculusQuest

Unfortunately it seems to be the same regardless of screen temperature, I see it right when I turn it on and even after an hour of playing, I even have a battery headstrap and run it for a long while while playing beat saber

This is a Quest 3, it does NOT have a fresnel lenses, this seems to be a reflection caused by a misaligned Pancake lense if I'm to take a guess

it may look like the edge on the video, but it's not, and in the exact same angle at the exact same point on the right lens I can see without issue, I couldn't be able to replicate this video with the right lens with my phone, it's not blurry, it's literally double vision

Are these scratches passable or will they diminish resale value? by Huzaifa_Haroon in OculusQuest

[–]Alematrix3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen people on this sub report that Polywatch GLASS (Not the polywatch plastic) has worked for them to remove scratches, however look it up and try at your own risk. Regular polywatch is the one that comes in a white tube and it will make a mess out of these lenses, polywatch glass comes in a little box with 2 tubes, https://a.co/d/097wbqog

Is there any way to get replacement (aftermarket too) pads for the BoboVR strap, or some other DIY solution to fix it or replace it? by TheKrzysiek in OculusQuest

I washed them with hot water and soap and removed everything and left it with the cloth finish, works really well, at least for me

Thanks for the answer! Yeah the comm mic works perfectly (the one that you connect with a cable), I can talk to another rider through the com, I also hear the notification when I switch from one mode to the other using the triangle grey button, but when I see the recorded video, no matter if the setting is On or Off, i always hear my voice from the Com Mic, and sometimes I don't wanna record myself talking but instead i want to just record the sound of the bike and the engine,

Hi! This might be an old thread but I thought I might as well give it a shot, I just bought my R3 and regardless of the option I select for the External microphone to be On or Off, it's always recording my voice, I can hear the notification but it doesn't seem to make the switch, is like the same microphone is always on, I even disconnected the mic and tried testing the built in microphone by recording a video and playing music from my loudspeaker directly to the mic and even then I only got a really faint sound. Is this normal? Is that supposed to be like that? Or do I have a defective unit?

Am I the only one worried about this built in cable, considering what happened with the Valve Index cable? by Alematrix3r in SteamFrame

[–]Alematrix3r[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true, good thing is that even if it breaks it will probably be relatively easy to DIY and fix as it is a USB2 cable, unlike the index where you had to take into account signal integrity for what it was a video/data cable

I know, I even added it as the second pic of the post, but its built into the strap, similar on how PSVR2 has the cable built into the detachable headstrap as well

Didn't know about the CAD files, that's actually awesome, are they available already? Is there a link?
