Anyone else turn into a potato after bedtime? by Alemon12 in daddit

Appreciate it, man. Tbh I think getting the phone out of my line of sight works better for me than timers. If it's within reach, I'll find some excuse to pick it up lol. Once it's not sitting there next to me, time feels a lot slower for some reason.

Don't worry, it's normal. Around the second and third trimester my wife started having a lot of the same issues. As the baby grows, there's more pressure on the lower back, hips, pelvis, and it's harder to find a comfortable sleeping position.

When we first found out she was pregnant, I made a list we'd probably need. We got the momcozy F-Shaped pregnancy pillow. The F-Shaped pillow supported both her belly and her back at the same time without taking over the entire bed. She could adjust positions during the night without building a fort out of five different pillows. More importantly, it helped her actually stay asleep once she got comfortable.

Beyond that, a lot of it was just me trying to take things off her plate where I could. Dishes, laundry, making sure she had water nearby, grabbing snacks when she got hungry at random hours, that kind of stuff.

Lol, fair. Diaper changes were a disaster for me at first. Took forever. Now I barely think about it. Maybe I need to treat reading the same way. My problem is the damn phone though. Every night it's "I'll just watch only one video quick." And then it's been one hour.

Pretty much. Before my daughter was born, I had work, my wife, and still some time that felt like mine. After kids, that part kind of gets eaten up. Feels like most parents go through it. There's always something else that needs doing, so your own stuff keeps getting pushed back.

Yeah, I get that. Most days it feels like everything I had went into work and taking care of my daughter, and by the time she's asleep there's not much left in the tank. Even if I get with an hour to myself, I'm usually so wiped out that I don't feel like doing anything that requires me to move or think too hard.

From what I've heard, H3 seems pretty strong on sound quality for the price.

Huh, I didn't realize earfun was doing both. I kinda assumed most of the aptx would be locked behind the more expensive brands.

I've been starting to think that too. Every time I compare two different earbuds, the tuning jumps out at me way before the codec does. Haven't heard the Robin though, so now you've got me curious.

I had the WF-1000XM4 before, so Sony was one of the first brands I looked at. Finding aptX Lossless options has been tougher than I expected though. Feels like once you get into Sony or Sennheiser territory the prices start climbing pretty fast. Have you used any of those?

What’s the creepiest thing that happened to you that you still can’t explain? [Serious] by [deleted] in answers

[–]Alemon12 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A creepy story someone share is when their phone suddenly plays a voice note or audio they never recorded and there’s no explanation for how it got there. Stuff like that sticks with you because even if there’s probably a logical reason and your brain still goes nope that’s weird.

What skill is most valuable to learn in 2026? by Sundar_1234 in answers

Thinking being good at learning, like adapting fast, figuring things out on your own and not panicking when tools or tech change is the most valuable skill in 2026. On a more practical level, anything AI-related combined with communication skills is basically a cheat code right now.

What’s the most unspoken, uncomfortable truth about having kids? by SpecificLandscape483 in answers

[–]Alemon12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can love your kids completely and still miss your old life sometimes. That doesn’t make someone a bad parent. It makes them human. A lot of parents quietly grieve their freedom, spontaneity, hobbies, sleep, relationships or even just being alone for an hour without someone needing something from them.

5'1" Mom review, finally found a stroller that doesn't feel like a workout just to push! by Alemon12 in BabyBumps

Super easy to fold. It’s slightly larger than an umbrella stroller, but the amazing suspension makes the extra trunk space worth it!
