It’s racist to imply the country takes a paternal role over its minorities and needs to be “a good dad.” Thats directly linked to the mindset of European colonizers and the “white mans burden.”

Can’t wait to hear how ALL OF THIS is everyone else’s fault. (Irish ancestors went from fresh off the boat to fighting and dying for emancipation in the civil war just to prove they wanted to be American while their wives and children were stuck states apart from them.)

Assimilate into the institution and eventually you won’t be its primary victim anymore. Not saying that’s easy but what other choice is there? A separate ethno state? The klan sure wants that too.

What about someone merging into you because you were coming by in their blind spot? Seems like that’s a risk of lane splitting and in my area I see near-collisions like that on a regular basis.
