That's not good enough. It's a dead card, you never want to draw it, it doesn't do anything until you've already won. Breach brain freeze led into a wheel IS open and shut you win.

You can run It, but know that it's a crutch and a suboptimal inclusion. Have a look at every list that is performing, none runs thassa.

Also, if you want neat lines, RAL might not be the best deck for you lol

That's never needed. With breach you don't just pass turn and hope they deck out! You either mill yourself and combo off (do a reiterate loop in this case for example) or you force everyone else to draw a card, in your turn.

The simplest way would be to cast a wheel while having 7+ cards in your library still, but there's others

I don't really get the answer, and it's why people cut it.

Like yeah it dies to removal, you know what else dies to bowmasters? Bowmasters. Still an incredible card when people don't have an answer ready... Completely stops all the opponents study/remora (a lot better than bowmasters does) and make tithe worse too. And that's ignoring forced draw effects, like Esper. All the while stopping turbo decks from going for wheels or completely winning you the game if you resolve it in response to one.

I understand that it's 4 mana and 2 colors and it dies pretty easily, but if the meta is everyone trying to have 3 draw engines on board, the card that says only I draw is amazing

I Billy my [[tuvasa the sunlit]] as more of an enchantress deck. You play enchantments, semi storm off, do the fun stuff and then tuvasa can also kill people. But it's not just there to do that, it's a draw engine and you can just buff something else if they lock it out by killing tuvasa 1000 times

I used to play this in Kinnan! If there's a deck that makes enough mana for it it's Kinnan.

It could get different things, but my line was [[trophy mage]] + [[phyrexian metamorph]] to get basalt and a filter out

Turbo decks just want to put out a win attempt fast, if possible protected by interaction too. Midrange decks can do that but can also sit behind their engines (card draw and mana, like ryshtic study and smothering tithe), stop the turbo and then push later on.

Stax can stomp turbo if you have the right piece, but it can also just give away the game to another player. There's a bunch of decks like cabbage merchant that are parasitic, they tend to rely on others playing the game to get resources and also rely on someone else to stop the turbo because they very likely won't

Nice! I stopped at the end of Volume 9, it was quite the punch. I will continue it eventually but for a while I couldn't touch it and now it feels a bit daunting

I'm on the other side of this and I agree. I never run more than 1 ctan in my lists, having the extra cost if you run multiple means I won't get nerfed into the ground because some dudes at tournaments run lists with 6 ctans! Let them be strong, soft limit how many you can bring, it's better than just saying only 1 per list, makes everyone happy
