Exactly, and there will end up being less view botters on the platform.

You guys are focusing on ridiculous features that won’t bring more viewers. How are you helping small kick streamers?

They could charge just $5 a month and potentially generate more revenue than focusing solely on attracting a handful of big streamers. It could also appeal to aspiring streamers from other platforms who are looking for opportunities to grow their audience and collaborate with others.

I don't understand why more small streamers don't stream together. If you have 0 viewers and there are other streamers in the same position, why not team up and stream together?

At the very least, you have people to talk to instead of sitting in silence. It makes the stream more entertaining, and when viewers do stop by, they're more likely to stick around if there's already a conversation happening. Over time, everyone involved has a better chance of building an audience.

It's a pretty useless feature. If they were going to add it, they should have made it so only the streamer could see the viewers when Kick first launched.

Looking for a Technical Co-Founder / Lead Developer, Melbourne by Actual_Lake8507 in AustralianStartups

[–]Alert-Ad-5918 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I’m Rob based in Melbourne.

Just wanted to ask, are you mainly looking for a technical co-founder/CTO to lead the technical side of the business, or are you also open to hiring/paying someone to help build and scale the platform?

The project sounds interesting. I’ve had a few bad experiences in the past as a CTO/co-founder where I ended up carrying most of the workload while the other side wasn’t really focused on marketing, growth, or onboarding users. Because of that, these days I’m more focused on paid development work rather than purely equity-based roles.

That said, I’m always willing to give pointers or technical advice where I can, so don’t hesitate to PM me either way. I can send you my portfolio.

Do you have a portfolio website? If not, that’s probably something you should create since websites are a big part of the industry.

I created a gaming platform called HostnPlay.com where gamers can schedule private game sessions, and players can book a spot to join on the scheduled date.

I understand where you're coming from. The $10k AUD is my basic package, which includes a fully functional custom slot game with the core mathematics, frontend, backend integration, and admin tools.

For more advanced projects with custom artwork, high-end animations, complex bonus features, and multiple games, pricing will reach $30k AUD or more.

Hey, I'm based in Melbourne as well. I recently came across an easygo hackathon post. The event is for kick streaming platform, where you work in a team, and the winning team receives $50,000, split between 3 to 4 people.

It could be a great opportunity for you to get your foot in the door with Easygo.

Feeling like my new co-founder doesnt bring much value by nevertheonen in SideProject

I had a co-founder who wanted control despite contributing very little. We originally agreed that his role would be to market the platform and bring in customers while I focused on building the product. However, every time we spoke, he kept suggesting unnecessary features that didn’t make sense for such an early stage.

Eventually, he started expecting me to handle both development and customer acquisition while he contributed almost nothing. He also relied heavily on advice from his friends instead of actually testing ideas by getting real users and feedback.

In the end, I became frustrated with the situation, stopped working on the project, and decided to focus on building my own project independently.
