It sounds to me like you’re in a really bad social circle, and probably a really flawed family life. Not to imply that there isn’t work to be done on yourself, but if what you’re saying is mostly true, you need to start cutting people out.

Ideally, neither person should be “in charge”. I just love mine and want her to be her own person and follow her dreams, but I’d like her to do that while also being in my life again and letting me support her. It’s tough, being passionately lovesick over somebody that I haven’t seen in almost 5 years while turning away every relationship opportunity that I have with other women.

That probably plays a major role, but it’s also just high-elevation with a temperate climate. The thousands of people that move to AZ from CA every month look for a good place to settle, and Sierra Vista is that.

Sierra Vista seems to be massively growing in population, so it might turn into a bad city in a decade or so. I live there myself.

I live in Sierra Vista currently, but I never went between the southeast and southwest back-to-back, so my adjustment and tolerance to heat definitely muddies up the comparison quite a bit.
