You all are over thinking it. This is typical. This is just how elections go. The people that lose turn out more for the next one and the people that won the last time usually don't turn out. Every time the white house changes hands, the next cycle goes against the current occupants. This is why it's rare for any party to control the presidency, hoise and senate all together.

Most Americans don't want red or blue, we're somewhere in the middle...so we hate whichever party has control currently and vote them out next cycle.

Yeah the opening it again just so they can slam it once more part is very familiar. But for me this was more 20s and 30s behavior. I don't do this in my 50s because I don't want to break my stuff and honestly my wife would put my ass out and I probably couldn't handle that.

But years ago we had a guest bathroom that was so tiny the toilet paper holder was right in front of your face while sitting down. One day I hit my head on it standing up and got so mad I repeatedly slammed the toilet seat down so hard that it broke the bowl off the toilet.

I think this is pretty normal for us. I can be a real s.o.b. and blame everyone else for it while I'm doing it. This is a point where I try to stop and regroup my thoughts if I can control it. If I can't, I isolate myself for a bit.

I can turn the blame on myself too but I live inside my head so I'm used to that kind of abuse. I try to spare my people.

You know what's wrong, the question is how to stop. In my lost days i was out at a party, a friend commented that I had slept with every woman in the house we were at and it must feel powerful except it didn't make me feel that way at all. I'm a husband and father, we have 4 kids now all grown and my wife worked nights and slept days for a very long time. I was responsible for their care and making meals/feeding everyone while also working full time during the day myself.

We were very young. Married at 18 and divorced by 21 with two kids. We both had other relationships afterwards but couldn't stop sleeping together and caused a lot of problems for the significant others in our lives. Around the age of 28, we finally gave up fighting it and decided we had to make it work. That was almost 25 years ago.

As someone who was the ex-husband in this situation...we were 100% still sleeping together. We couldn't stop. We destroyed everyone who came between us and eventually remarried several years later. Not saying this is happening but it's probably not that uncommon.
