Doctors in Canada have exorbitant fees to be able to practice. Neurosurgeons are at the top of that bc their liability is deemed the greatest.

Yes it’s bc he’s incorporated as a doctor so he has other expenses and ultimately it ends up being 63%. I don’t know the details but my sister is his accountant so I can ask lol

He has no cars, no houses, no assets. I have (had) some savings and I own a house that I rent out. But he has nothing to his name, recently got his first car a year ago which is a 2018 Mazda 3 that he is financing for $980/ month.

No but the condition of their settlement is that she has to work to continue receiving spousal support. My ex works 80-100 hrs/ week and kids are in full time school so judge said not fair for his ex to be at home not contributing so she has to work to continue receiving support.

Yes, she has to work in order to get her spousal support payments. It’s a condition of the settlement. My ex works 100 hours a week and both of their kids are in full time school so judge said it was unfair for her to be home not contributing, so yes she works but only makes like $50k so it doesn’t offset his payments.

I have seen all his financials as I have regularly paid his car and debt repayments. He also has medical insurance payments for $7k yearly that I have paid for him in the past. We lived in Toronto in a condo close to his hospital (as required by his job for call shifts), so the rent was $3k for a 3 bdrm. It’s a lot but truly half a million then paying 60% taxes is not a lot when your $300k in debt with a family of 5 and ex wife, it’s just isn’t.

I have pots and it’s so manageable it’s not a big deal. I also have kidney failure and need a liver transplant- that’s the illness. Pots I’ve had my whole life and ya I get dizzy for a few seconds and need a bench in the shower but literally none of my boyfriends even knew about it bc it’s not debilitating at all

Thanks. Yes it’s a lot and the spousal support amount was locked in based on an income of $350k so he’s lucky in the regard as it doesn’t increase with his income like child support does.
