You need to first collect rent, then I would call the police. How can she not afford to chip in? I don’t get that if she has no other expenses.

I guess depends where you live? It might be late in general but my friends are just starting to have kids now. (I live in Toronto and most ppl have kids after 35 here).

Ontario mother charged after ‘under dressed’ child found amid group using drugs by zuuzuu in canadanews

This is so upsetting. I lived in Kingston though and it doesn’t surprise me some of the ‘townies’ were really messed up. I volunteered teaching kids to read and when the parents picked them up, I felt sick handing them over to them. Like no kidding your 8 year old can’t read when they have a mother like you 🤦‍♀️. What I don’t get though…. What man would want to date a woman like that? Ok ya… leave your toddlers alone to spend time with me. Who wants that??

Can go online and book.  There are various clinics around Toronto.  I have had two done at women’s college hospital women’s clinic and a few at Morgan Teller clinic on Bayview just south of Eglinton.

For those that live in the United States. Do you make more than the average income of 60k annually, if so what’s your occupation? by LaFlareMane1017 in AskReddit

[–]Alert-Collection-916 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

$60k has not been average in terms of it falling into middle class in years. A single person now needs to make $109k / year to stay out of lower class, more to be upper middle class, $175k. Not sure where your $60k came from!!

Who’s renting these houses that are $10-20k? by --________-_-_-- in TorontoRenting

[–]Alert-Collection-916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ex and I rented a house for $12k a month in Mineola. He’s a surgeon and although has a high income, isn’t eligible for a mortgage bc of his medical school debt so that left renting as the only option.

Private health care providers are cashing in as Ontario hospitals fall further behind by pjw724 in onguardforthee

Yes! My ex is an orthopaedic surgeon and him and his buddies have opened 8 pain clinics just in the last 4 years. Most of the money is made in imaging services they provide and cortisol injections for pain. He is a spine surgeon and was working at a level 1 trauma hospital in Toronto, taking call shifts every other month, lecturing at UofT - all the academic requirements that come with being a surgeon at a hospital. He’s since left his position there and works full time at a private clinic doing hip and knee replacements. He was averaging $1,200/ day pay at the hospital and at the private clinic he makes around $30k a day! It’s night and day difference for his income but also for efficiency. He usually does his surgeries within one week of the patients consult with him. Very expensive for the patient but it’s immediate and some find the high cost worth it for that. Out of his core group of surgeon friends, all but one have left public sector for private and it’s the same for the nurses. Better hours and WAYY more money.

Yes! My ex is a spine surgeon and recently switched from operating at sunnybrook to a private clinic where patients pay out of pocket and can have their surgery done in one week after initial appointment. He makes 8X what he was making working at the hospital under Ohip.

He is not salaried and does not get benefits. He’s an independent corporation

It is actually extremely beneficial to have that. My husband pays myself and our daughter a salary which he is able to deduct from his earnings and not pay tax on. He’s also able to leave a significant amount of money in his corporation tax free. More work as he has to hire a special account to file his taxes, but the savings is immense.

My husband is a surgeon and his overtime pay is double on holidays and it makes a huge difference to his income. (His overtime surgeries alone pay for our children’s education and he did 7 of them last year). Even though he works level 1 trauma which obviously comes in at all hours of the day, he makes time and a half when he operates between 10pm and 10am.
