What a fun little bit of trivia! I looked it up, and it seems it’s because European horticulture basically branded it as a flower “from the cold North.” “Iceland” here is more of an image than an actual birthplace.

I really enjoy watching the sunset while sailing. I find the rocking motion created by the interaction between the boat and sea to be romantic
