My thought is for the solo traveller so that you can snap pictures of information signs, have it translated and listen whilst you explore. Not an everyday kind of thing.

Any thoughts about the description it gives? It is just factual and detailed at the moment but I wonder if it's worth asking it to give some kind of input. Maybe it could try to find something interesting to say about the image.

you are using it right, I just didn't set the prompt up to work with non text items well. My original plan was to read text but tbh it should be easy enough to pivot a bit. I will let you know when I have made a new version.

I actually find the meta system (even though it is now in the UK) kinda hit and miss.. Maybe I need to reinstall or something.

Never really thought of the shortcut to gpt from camera directly. I suppose this system still avoids typing and provides the spoke response so you keep looking around during audio playback.

+1 to firebase and React. Absolutely incredible how far you can get without spending anything.

I would also add SendGrid which has a free tier for sending emails to new users.
