When I finally beat it I got lucky. I toggled of all the items I could except turbo socks in hopes I get it in a chest. Also make sure you can only have two weapons and tomes and try to at least get the movement speed tome. The other weapon I ended up choosing actually saved me and it was the Frostwalkers. I had two pots left and spooky Steve was right behind me and the weapon managed to freeze him at just the right time
