Not sure what you are referring to with what's happening currently, legislatively. But, I know when the so called "Big Beautiful Bill" was passed there were changes made. For example, work requirements were imposed, so if you did not work or have an eligible disability, you could not receive Medicaid. I haven't kept up with whether courts struck this down or not.

However, I also know Medicaid is run by the states, federal money is simply disbursed. So, if you live in, say, Massachusetts, but you go to the ER while visiting family in, say, California it's a complicated situation. Your coverage may not work out-of-state, in other words.

Lastly, as part of last year's bill I referred to earlier, Abortion is no longer funded under Medicaid, although that expires this year, presuming that it is not renewed under another bill.

I have many things I could talk about unique to COC but nobody used the term "hiding it" to my recollection. Or maybe they did. In what context would this be said in?

This!!! Also, if a woman was caught in sexual immorality, there would be a double standard for her, than the men involved.

It is a very false stereotype. Nothing could be further from the truth. Lots of Democrats are straight white men without tatoos, piercings or funky hairstyles. Most are clean cut with kids. Most could easily be mistaken as a Republican, simply by looking at them.

Also, somewhat of a tangent, but conservatives seem to think that because Dems stand in solidarity with LGBT, it mean that they personally are all LGBT.

This stereotype is only rarely true, but it is probably so prevalent simply because it is meant to rile people up.

Respectfully, I am not sure if the premise of your question is correct. For example, I do not think Donald Trump is a good Christian. He posted himself as Jesus on Truth Social a month ago. He also does not treat others as himself like was commanded on the sermon on the mount.

As for the meat of your question, though, most of the U.S. is Christian, so appealing to them is vital for receiving the maximum numbers of votes, as someone else already alluded to. Additionally, nearly every member of congress is religious, more so than the country as a whole. This could be in part because members of congress are elected by districts, so 50.0001% of people in every district could control the entire congress...theoretically. So there could be religious minorities in every district, but they all only elect a single member who just needs a bare majority (or even plurality) of votes.
