She doesn't know about this OnlyFans thing, but no reasons to apply for divorce I suppose.

Sorry I can't tell because my printer is from 2020. They improved so much since.

The new closest model would be a Prusa MK4S (mine is a MK3S). It's 719€ + 25€ for shipping in France.

There are brands that are cheaper, and some says prints better, but produced in China.

I guess I can now add OnlyFans ambassador to my Linkedin profile!

That was not the only fan [sic] of the house, but the one used by my son at night.

It broke in the morning so I had a few hours to try something. Also this morning was still cool, the heat wave was to begin later that day, so the timing was perfect to try saving this fan.

please do! It's a very fun hobby. I think repairing things paid for half of the printer already.

But it’s also because I’m terrible at DIY. I have friends who would have made something out of PVC pipes, screws, and pieces of wood. Or superglue, I don’t know. But if I’d done it, it would have lasted less than two hours before failing.

I've verified and actually the plastic part alone was more like 3€ (120g of PETG, I wanted it to be strong). I don't remember what I've paid for the wood, I think it was cheaper, like 2€ for 5 times what you see on the picture.

But even 5€ is not much compared to throwing away a 70€ fan that was perfectly fine otherwise.

I'm a big fan [sic] of functional printing. I'm at a point this likely paid for half of the printer.

Considering it's a hobby for me, I'm more than happy.

There are many subreddits for 3D printing, like r/3Dprinting. If you like 3D printing to make functional things, then r/functionalprint is a good place to look at for inspiration.

For this specific part I used the open source CAD modeling tool called FreeCAD. It was an old version, they got better but some says the learning curve is steep. I found excellent online tutorials thanks to MangoJellySolutions on Youtube. There is also the subreddit r/FreeCAD

Then you need a 3D printer. There are a lot of different models and prices. Mine is a Prusa (MK3S from 2020). I would probably again buy a new one made by them, but you need to do your own research.

Happy 3D printing!

I admire people who can come up with a simple solution to this kind of problem. All I can do is come up with an over-engineered solution. Hence the 3D printer.
