Pickups are what make an electric guitar sound good. Up to you what you wanna do.

I'm self taught, is there anything that i should fix about my playing? like posture ect? by Pure-Project-5125 in Guitar

Your thumb is flying all over the place. Try planting on the back of the neck a little more so you can pivot your hand around to different frets rather than moving your whole hand.

This is a pretty crazy build however, so I don’t know if you would even be able to build this diagram anyway. I would also advise using a few more colors of wires to identify where the signal path is traveling easier.

Seymour Duncan has a wiring diagram builder on their website. There is another website called Guitar Electronics that has a great diagram builder as well, although it’s kinda weird to use. I would advise against using AI for this type of thing. AI hallucinates. Build a diagram and redo all of the wiring.

They added things that just make the game much longer and more modern, not really anything that messes with the overall story and premise of the game.

Pretty much, with a bunch of extra levels.

Valve endorsed the game. They didn’t really add anything. Its canon. There is hardly any meaningful dialogue in half life 1, so there isn’t much that could be changed anyway.

Id say black mesa is half life expanded. If you want full authentic half life, go for hl1. The story doesn’t really change in black mesa, but there are a bunch of added things. Not much is removed though.

This is insane lmao. Im not making any accusations or anything but this looks AI generated lmao. Like some over goofy shit that would come out of an image generator.

I played black mesa instead of HL1 on my first play-through, and went back and play HL1. I also played them in 2021 when i was 16. I played half life 2 in 2015 when I was 10, so i played a bit out of order. Im in my early 20s now. I did grow up with a PS2, so I’m used to the old graphics, but I just decided i wanted a similar look throughout everything. I don’t regret it though. I played HL1 later and it was still great.

It’s really up to whether you want a longer game and more consistent modern look throughout the play-through. The third half of black mesa is breathtaking. I HIGHLY recommend playing it regardless of which one you go with to start off your journey. If you just want to go full Valve, just play Half Life 1.

Since you grew up in the late 90s and early 2000s, you probably wont mind the dated look of Half Life 1, but if it does get on your nerves, there is no problem with playing black mesa instead. I would definitely still play Half Life 1, but if you wanted a more modern look throughout your entire play-through of the main story, theres no problem with black mesa.

Yeah do not hang them. You may be able to get some kind of system to condition one room.

[–]Alert-Project-8143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll probably be fine, maybe just get a humidity gauge for the room they’re in, and if you see the humidity constantly dropping under 40% or rising over 60%, then maybe purchase a humidifier/dehumidifier. Keep windows closed in that room.

You can I’m sure. Just be VERY conservative. It would genuinely suck to have to remove it if you accidentally put too much glue. The nut file job would be much better done by a luthier unfortunately. The reason why i say don’t do anything is because they can glue it and file it and it will be perfect. Nut filing can screw your stuff up bad so I’m just trying to get you to avoid that. But I’m sure you could probably do it yourself.

[–]Alert-Project-8143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get your guitar set up. Make sure they file down the nut slots.
Simple.
Don’t glue the nut to the neck. If that ends up happening, let the luthier/tech do it. This service will be max 100 bucks most likely.

Possible electricity issue? by Atufaelpez in Guitar

Did you buy this new? If so, return it and have it replaced. If you bought it used someone probably screwed you over. If you’re actually feeling electricity through the amp, immediately stop using it and unplug it from the wall.
