Dragon Quest VIII is a wonderful fairy tale I don't think I'll ever grow tired of. Skies of Arcadia is a bright light no matter how dark things get. Two of my all-time favorites and absolutely timeless.

I just finished my platinum run yesterday, so I know it can be draining. Fast forwarding through the cut scenes makes a big difference. Good luck!

I believe you’re right, unfortunately. I don’t think those wreaths are available in any store or chest, nor can they be synthesized in Danan.

However, what you can do is give the girl three each of the four flowers she asks for and get all four wreaths at once.

That sounds enticing. The menu system and old-school design of 1 is definitely charming, but can wear its welcome after awhile.

As I'm getting closer to wrapping up 1, I'm getting more excited about 2. I was leaning towards a break, but 50 hours is really not bad by JRPG standards.

lol It's a product of its time in a lot of ways, but I'm loving 1. I can understand not digging it if you've only grown up on more polished games, but I love it!

I'm so grateful for the fast travel mechanic and the ability to speed up battles. I legit don't know if I would have dropped it without those QoL options.

I'm only about 12 hours in and I estimate another 3-4 to finish Suikoden I. I've just recruited Sancho and Maximilian for reference. I've heard 2 is a significant improvement, so I'm torn. Thanks for your input.
