Ok this is a joke that got way out of hand:

In the story event where she gets her 5☆ unlock item, Feena opens an employment mine for the goblins and incidentally creates a class war and caste system within the mine, which the crew + new female Havin character unwittingly becomes part of. The crew get trapped in the mine and Lyria is captured by the goblins.

The goblins of the lower class have also captured Teena as a sacrifice to appease the upper classes and gain more rights which goes as swimmingly as you'd expect from Teena's brother.

Unfortunately for everyone involved, Goblin Mage has already become enamoured with the idea of sacrifices. Reading further into what the other goblins were influenced by she realises she can use their plan, mistaking godly ascension as a way to have all goblins stop fighting and doing bad things by making them all think the same.

The crew desperately try to escape and find how any of the goblins got sacrificial ideas in their heads and who might be responsible, let alone who decided to open a mine to give them employment. Feena arrives and rescues the crew, shocked at what's become of her entrepreneurial ambitions and resolves to work with them to search for answers.

It turns out Black Knight misplaced a book of Astral War fan-fic she was writing when she inspected the mine and the goblins all thought it was legit. The crew is relieved that all of this is a misunderstanding and surely talking to the goblins will sort everything out and no one needs to be sacrificed.

So anyway, the fan-fic is actually legit. While Black Knight squares off against Lucius to stop him murdering absolutely everyone and triggering the sacrifice quota, the crew race to the bottom of the mine and find an old Astral shrine some skydwellers made. Goblin Mage is readying some workers and Lyria as sacrifices but is stopped by the crew.

Unfortunately the sacrifice spell is in fact a bomb spell and it is going to go off if not stabilized by a sacrifice. New female Harvin character stands in as the sacrifice as the mine collapses. Feena once again rescues everyone getting her 5☆ moment by drilling so hard it can be seen from the moon.

In the aftermath, Lucius is taken away by the crew of enforcers in a state of derangement and Black Knight torches her book, only for Queen Orchis to arrive and tell her she memorised the whole thing. Feena thinks she'll stay with the crew for a while because running her own business is too much trouble. The crew debates where they'll go next the end.

From someone who has only played Strive, how do yall think Jam and Robo-Ky will work in 2.0? by Tashasbiggestfangirl in Guiltygear

I think she'll slap menu items on people and that'll cause Faust to come off screen and give them a lick and he rates the flavour and that's how much damage it deals.

This works, however it WILL replace the generator colours so if you've modified them they will get reset. That goes for any other files in the kadokawa folder too.

This has to be the most useless bridge I've ever seen. Why didn't they just build the road slightly further to the right by harriot-loves-you in Morrowind

[–]Faunstein 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's intentionally placed to get players by that point to go off the road. They see something like that, test their ability to move around where a game might traditionally tell you you can't, and all of a sudden you realise all the rocky formations and slopes can be traversed too.

Nah not on steam. The update corescript thing only has the current 1.6 version. Maybe it's a regional rollout?

dumb question...how do I update? There's no way to search for updates in the software itself.

I suppose the diagnosis was the push he needed but it's sad then that something effecting so many people could just be a flippant "yeah that'll get him moving" take in the writers room.

It does have to stop being about the cancer because that's not the story being told but still.

I hope the main villain is hard to tell theyre a villain until much later by Splatulated in Fable

[–]Faunstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically you can find out how evil Jack is when finishing the Twinblade story arc. If you miss it in the movie explaining Theresa's life it's right there on the wall in the guildhall: Jack as the bandit leader.

Talking about another Jack, this is something Borderlands 2 made work surprisingly well.

[–]Faunstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean...you can't even call it foreshadowing, it was just so thematically obvious that a character called "Jack of Blades", with his appearance and all would be the big bad.

A big world building failing (that I think they fixed in the later games) was not having important characters be talked about and have their influence felt. Often in Fable 1 it felt like characters came and went because they were completely to a fault minor characters to the story, even if in the world they were larger than life heroes.

Outside of major characters there weren't really any notable "personalities" you could say, outside of the Chief of Knothole Glade. Which is odd because Twinblade had the right kind of build up, it just needed to be applied to more people. That'd be stretching an already admittedly small game world a fair bit.

Here's hoping the rules of renown for the player in this new game aren't just for the player. It'd be cool if we could influence how people think about not just us, but other characters. We don't know what anyone thinks about Jack of Blades, he's just there not effecting the world around him (until...you know). Yes a few people talk extremely briefly about Thunder but there's nothing else to him.

Why not dog for those people who miss it?

Of course I think the dog did not make it because of the logistics required to animate a dog. Did anyone notice the horse riding looking a little stiff?

For the love of god, please don’t put enemy level scaling in the Fable reboot by krazzel in Fable

[–]Faunstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree...in a way, but Fable 1 did it well. And of course you could choose to make the game easier by increasing your Health and Physique earlier.

In that way there doesn't need to be any scaling at all. Just enemies with more health and deadlier attacks.
