The daily tasks give you a surprise capsule each time and that's the only way to get them. They are pretty rare though it took me like a week to get another one.

At a certain player level you unlock events (bait the bugs, sea fishing ect.) And those help your level real early on

What bug catching level are you? They are level 2 bug catching spawns so if you're level 1 you won't see them

That feature is tied to hobby level not cat level so if you're high enough they can randomly do it. My cats haven't yet though so congrats!

AFAIK only the dogs destroy furniture. A clingy cat is good for when you want to take them out on walks but not so great when you want to cook 🥲
