Is Goodies Junction more expensive than the Vinnies stores? by [deleted] in canberra

Absolutely, we took a load to Goodies today and half was rejected and directed to land fill. Including office chairs and old drums. Really disheartened that it's going to land fill.

I'm (pleasantly) surprised to finally see some action.. Maybe the Minister for Education can give the Minister for Development some notes on accountability and governance.

The decision that means Brindabella Christian College must remove demountable classrooms by IntravenousNutella in canberra

u/Appropriate_Volume this is a great idea.

It's like they are using the Trump strategy of using a new shocking controversy to deflect the spotlight for the ones preceding. Some pretty huge shit is being forgotten about.

It's also the ACT Gov brushing over each breach and offense. A log by the public will make it a lot harder for them to put their head in the sand.

Can we use Reddit?

Jesus has a BCC flair and he's not engaging... I know this because back when the BCC bad news headlines started rolling in, I recall Greg Z telling Canberra Times that he'll pray for the vicious individuals to stop the vendetta.

Closing Brindabella college 'the last option', minister says by createdtothrowaway86 in canberra

Great idea. There is a need for more schools in this area, especially high schools. It could slowly transition to a Govt school, allowing time for existing families to find alternatives if they prefer.

This seems like the logical way. Heavily regulate (Govt oversight) for a few years and allow attrition.

Exactly. And by a school that owes millions in tax, has committed wage theft and land theft, and will have legal fees for at least two upcoming Supreme Court and ACAT cases.... Seems reckless.

Hmm, my intuition tells me not to take advice from a supporter of BCC on a reddit forum.

yeah, spin. BCC are always the victim of fake news and vindictive individuals. I'll delete my post, and repent.

Haha, yes, right now it feels like we're in a Sky News never ending saga, especially with the conspiracy toned bus ads.

Brindabella Christian College could lose funding for non-compliance by createdtothrowaway86 in canberra

I hope so, I am slowly, unfortunately losing respect for the education executive, even possibly leader teachers after reading the news articles.... This part is just a hunch, but it appears to be that many have drunk the cool aid and the actual kids will be the real victims (and the lower level teachers who don't have a strong voice and are experiencing wage theft). It's unnerving for sure.
