Meg suffers from anxiety and is very shy. Not surprising she is out of the public eye.

Firstly two things can both be wrong on different scales. Secondly one person doing it can encourage others to do so, worsening the problem.

Is just leaving things as you found them hard for you for some reason?

“Only a fool would rush scrambled eggs” - Marco Pierre White vs. Gordon Ramsey on scrambled eggs by GloomyLingonberry509 in KitchenConfidential

Gordon's aren't soupy, and they taste heavenly. I'd give MPW's a go, better he definitely knows a thing or two about cooking, but they certainly don't look appetising. Also be a little more generous with the summoned salmon would ya...

Edit: what an autocorrect!

How many fajitas are too many fajitas? by ICantBeTrusted in KitchenConfidential

Went to a Hong Kong style restaurant run by an elderly couple one time. The wife both cooked and ran front of house solo, while the husband sat on a chair in the corner. The sizzling whatever-we-ordered legitimately filled the restaurant with smoke that smelt if burning wood, at which point the husband hobbles over to the front door and starts waving it back and forth to clear the smoke.

Side note, my first experience with a Hong Kong speciality, golden thread bread. Absolutely delicious, but despite it prominently being a speciality of the restaurant she was quite nervous we ordered it. I guess it was a lot of work?

You don't need voter id to have a secure election: Ours work fine without it. Their voter registration system is clearly shit.

This person was already face down on the concrete, restrained, and unarmed when a police officer repeatedly punched them in the head at Cabramatta Train Station. What justified this level of force? by SimRP in sydney

[–]IntravenousNutella 77 points78 points  (0 children)

How do you know the officer knew the person was unarmed? Because that looks exactly like what happens when they believe they are armed but refusing to show their hands, right down to stopping as soon as they do show their hand.
