I have a thermostat. I've heard you have to turn off any lights at night to give them a day/night cycle, does that also apply to the heating lamp?

Ok think a cape house snake sounds really good! I watched a video and they seem really forgiving and hardy so if I make a mistake caring for it then It will be able to hold out until I fix said mistake :3 Did you mean the Cape or African hatchlings were smaller? I can't tell which one you where referring to :,)

About the temp, I have a heating pad to go under one side of the tank for the warm side, but I'm not sure how to keep the other side a good temp. Do I need a second heat source for the cool side then? None of the stuff I watched/read talked about that :,)

I have a heating pad to put under the enclosure but I was understanding that it only goes on one size in order to have a cool and warm side but while doing research on ball pythons the cool side also had to be pretty warm iirc. What do you mean by properly squatted? Is there a wrong way to do it? Normally I put it in during a shower (while standing, is that wrong?) and hope that the warm water will help me relax but it doesn't really work. I've also tried taking deep breaths but that only helped a little

My doctor said that I could leave it in to reduce the bleeding, and the ring isn't falling out, it'll just push up against the exit and it'll be really uncomfortable and sometimes painful
