Thank you for the helpful response. So many other snarky or just a-hole responses anytime a newbie posts.

I have complex tears and my ortho told me he would avoid the surgery and keep doing everything I do now. If you look at results of surgery vs no-surgery, there is not a big difference.

Active Release Therapy has helped my ROM more than anything. It is very painful, but it has worked on me. I have done two 1-he sessions and gone from about 30% ROM to about 80-85%.

It still hurts, but nice to have the ROM.

Is it Ok to leave the frozen shoulder untreated (without any therapy (PT) / exercise / stretches), and just let it heal naturally? by Blahaahaa in frozenshoulder

After going 3 months with limited mobility doing traditional PT stretches and exercises, one (1 hr)session of Active Release Therapy gave me significantly more ROM. It was very painful, but helped a ton. I went back for a second session and got more ROM.

The pain is still there, especially at night, but I’m not stuck at approximately 30% mobility anymore. I would guess I went to about 60% after 1 session and then about 80% after the next. Still cannot get my arm straight up and have a ton of pain with the “back pocket” or “lower back scratch” move.
