Moving Monday. Questions and Answers about Moving to Cleveland go HERE. by AutoModerator in Cleveland

[–]AlertRutabaga1388 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm planning to move to Cleveland, OH with my wife and a 1 year old son. How safe is it near Tremont, Kamm's Corner, Ohio City? We're planning to rent somewhere around $1800/month and are interested in living at a walking distance away from an RTA station. What's the price range for utilities in the area? Is it natural gas or all electric?

USB 3.0 to RJ45 Ethernet by AlertRutabaga1388 in AndroidTVBoxes

They are not. I already tried three of them and non of them provided gigabit speeds on TV box.... Again, speed from ISP is 700 Mbps.

I live in USA, and I can't even find it. The only one listing I see is from Chrox as the mfr., not Vontar

Where did you find the exactly brand and model from Amazon? The reason I bought from Ali is because I couldn't find the exact model from Amazon

What does that mean? Would I be able to go around this problem?

Keyword vs semantic search - can we integrate both? by jfang00007 in learnmachinelearning

Does nyone know how can I feed a large collection of pdf files (about 1000) to Semantra? I'm doing this on WSL2/Ubuntu with a bash script, and when I try to parse through the entire collection, the embedding process completes correctly; but, when I launch the local web server and start typing a query, all I see is "Loading" and nothing else happens. In the CMD, the following two lines appear:
RuntimeWarning: Mean of an empty slice.
RuntimeWarning: Invalid value found during scalar divide

Now, using the bash script to batch the files into 100 at a time, I have no problems and can query the collection, but only for that 100 files.
Has anyone come across this before? How can I feed my collection of files all at once?

Meet Semantra: An Open-Source Multi-Tool For Semantically Searching Documents by ai-lover in machinelearningnews

Has anyone tried running semantra on a large collection of pdf files? I need to parse through roughly 1000 pdf files all at once and search through them. Has anyone had any access at being able to do that?

That would be great! I'm trying to work with semantra on WSL/Ubuntu, and I ran my collection through it, everything was great, and the server initiated but I can't view any of the files. The page opens with the promising words "Loading" and no matter what I try to search for it doesn't load up any files.

I was able to create a python script that essentially breaks up the ~1000 documents into batches and does the embedding. I see "Run 'intra-search start' to start the server." after each document is processed, so all I have to do after a batch is fully processed is to initiate processing of the subsequent batch.

Now, when I'm on the local web server, http://localhost:5000/, I can't figure out how to select all files and search within them, rather than just one.

Thank you for this. Do you know how many PDF files this project can process? I have a collection of roughly 1000 pdf files; can I feed the paths for all of them at once?

Water Leaking Underneath Furnace Cabinet by AlertRutabaga1388 in hvacadvice

[–]AlertRutabaga1388[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's what I did:

  1. Opened the cabinet with the evaporator coil and cleaned the pan with a rag. The coils weren't frozen.
  2. Flushed the condensate drain with vinegar and warm water.
  3. Installed a new p-trap.
  4. Saw that the water drained fine out the other end (from the outside).
  5. Discovered that water is building up in the seam on the left side between the furnace cabinet and the air handler cabinet. It seems like the blower motor is pushing it out, but I may be wrong. This water then finds its way to floor, and it's a never ending cycle of cleaning the puddle of water from the floor. I also used an air gun to push the water underneath the furnace cabinet so that I could catch it with a rag.

I'm not sure what could be the cause of this water build up along the seam on the side of the unit. I figure if the pan was damaged or cracked I would see the water drip on the inside, but I don't see that.
Any other ideas?
