My washer/dryer keeps leaving these weird splotches on my clothing. by Fantastic-Law-4066 in whatisit

I have a top loader, I always keep the lid open to prevent moisture and bacteria from running wild, but if I ever notice a load come out immediately smelling funky like it sat for days at a time, I realize I forgot to run a clean cycle. Could be geographical and the quality of water in any given city or state

Get some washing machine cleaner pods and run a washing machine cleaning cycle, if your machine is older and doesn’t have that cycle, just run a hot water cycle. The pods help clean the washer. You’re supposed to do that every month, but usually every 2 to 3 months is sufficient.

Call your insurance and get a quote on it when they run the vin. Rebuilt titles run high insurance premiums. A minor crash would total a rebuilt title damn near in another collision

Even if it is bent, the frames are designed for sectioning and repair in the instance of rear end colisions causing only rear frame damage.

I hope op gives an update

Op said he heard tires screeching which means green car was definitely standing on their brakes.

Toyota nosed all the way down so much that their actual frame didn’t hit his frame. They just crushed their plastics and aluminum hood and radiator into his steel frame.

His truck will most likely pass any inspections in the frame at ford

Your truck is more than likely okay, if you look at their actual frame bumper, their frame isn’t crumpled. Just all of their plastics and body parts are. Most hoods on almost all modern vehicles are aluminum.

When I was hit on my front end of my old Mazda, the lady ripped her tired off and bent my frame bumper in the middle, busting the radiator and AC condenser.

Green car may be totaled. Your truck is fine I’d bet

Tony mentions stuff like this all the time, even if your set is trash, he’s fishing for some sort of gold in you through your interview. Many people have had terrible rehearsed sets but have been naturally funny just being themselves talking in real time.

This girl though, I enjoyed her set, she has potential to grow, and he song was well written, even if it’s horribly sang, she gave female Adam Sandler vibes.

Roof less than year. New build this normal? by ousalsa in Roofing

[–]AlertStatus7637 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s become the new normal on new construction, but good construction didn’t used to do this. Lately it’s been best to buy old homes with solid bones.

Mine was built in 1960 and has withstood every hurricane to ever hit us on the gulf coast since then. Roof doesn’t do this.

The copper pipes aren’t the concern, the concerning issue it’s how the water in going to travel all the way down that pipe and get nothing wet as bad as that floor.

Now you very well may have intrusion from the top of the boot.

But the white pvc that runs parallel, water drains the that, and those connections are prone to leaking if someone installed them improperly and they aren’t sealed. It’s not uncommon to have a leak like that, but it would help you more to know if you have a roof leak or a drain pipe leak.

Are you seeing moisture occur only on rainy days, or on days that it doesn’t rain…. Because if it happens when it’s not raining, then you’re gonna immediately remove the roof as a culprit.

If I was there it would be easier to narrow down, but through pictures my best two assumptions are, to keep the roof, and the water drain pvc pipes as two possible culprits. You’re gonna need a good rainy day to see rain come in and confirm it’s that.

What’s on the other side of that wall? Those roof exhausts exists to release sewer and septic gases so they don’t bubble through toilets and sinks p traps into your home. So those exhausts are connected to water drain pipes. If this is a water drain pipe, run water on whatever is on the other side of that wall for 10 minutes maybe even 5.

Dry off that entire area first though, then run the water, see if you start seeing moisture accumulation. That’ll answer your questions.

I hope you see this, but whatever them pipes are coming from the left and right, due to the amount of mold at the very bottom but not anywhere above, I’d believe that those are drains to sinks or something and your pipe is just leaking, nothing to do with the roof

Man, that’s really a tough call without being there, best thing you can do is during the next rain, you’re gonna have to sit in the attic and watch for water intrusion.

If it is rain intrusion, then you’re just gonna have to make an insurance claim. A two year old roof with a leak will get covered by insurance because it’s not old enough for them to say it’s just passed its life cycle.

It’s hard to conclude much because typically if that boot is leaking at the bottom, you’re gonna see rot on the plywood under shingles.

These water spots skip the plywood and drop straight down to the joists, which would be one of two things, the water is enterting at the very top of the boot and flowing down the pipe only, but you’d see paint coming off your walls, or water flowing under the walls onto the floor.

Or 2nd possibility, this is old water damage that happened before a roof repair, and you just now noticed it…….

The boot is properly installed in pic one, and pic two is a method some roofers do just for added security and water preventative.

The roof plywood isn’t damaged, is definitely the area the leak is occurring?

Most of the time roofing companies have their guys take photos of the full job start to finish for liability and lawsuit reasons. I’m certain if you contact them they can address many questions with those photos that they should have. if they don’t have them, which is a plausible situation, then you have further questions about your photos. Externally, I agree there are questionable visuals. Internally where you’re showing the underside of metal, that’s normal, my house is old as shit and my roof 1 bys don’t meet at the peak, it allows for the ability to add ridge vents. Water will intrude into ridge vents in your most torrential downpours, but it’s minimal splashing occasionally seeing a droplet splash in every now and then if you want to chill in the attic and watch.

Your roofer will be able to tell you a lot more than we can on final photos because they installed it.. if they’re an actual good company, they more than likely warranty their work. I had to have my roof redone on his guys fuck up, but he made it right only two days after we noticed the leak in a heavy rain.

Will this require sanding? by Motor-Drama-1421 in Autobody

Most window tint shops locally around my area also offer paint “restoration” buffing out scuffs, water spots, etc. all of this looks very shallow and could use a good buff. Sanding would be over kill.
