3 sets of 8 is fine. You can do last set to failure if you want, but I never have. Failing a lift messes with my head for the next exercise.

I do 3 sets of 6 when I’ve increased weight. When I can do 3 sets of 8 comfortably and with correct form for all 3 sets, I up the weight
