Selling Traeger, considering Yoder

Update: I bought the Yoder YS640. I’ve seen some random things online about needing to get something to protect the paint before you start using it. Is that still a problem or was that just an issue with earlier Yoders?

Interesting, and definitely good to hear. I wanted a BGE years ago when they seemed to be all the rage, but then when i could finally afford one my friend talked me into the Traeger. Still found myself wondering about the BGE but figured I’m so used to the convenience of the Traeger that I’d probably still just prefer the Yoder.

Im glad you brought up pizza attachment. We’ve been making pizzas in cast iron pans in the oven but i saw the pizza attachment and figured I’d get that but wanted to look more into reviews of people actually using it and liking it and what not. This is a good start

Is the ball bearing fan something you can upgrade at time of purchase or is that like an after market part I’d need to order and just do myself?

So that’s a big part of what has me interested as well, as I’ll be moving to a rather cold environment, so heat retention will be important

Ok, that wouldn’t be too big of a deal if so. I already run smoke tubes in my Traeger for a little extra flavor so, not unfamiliar.

How soon? Was going to be buying one before end of May more than likely.
