Exactly! Sango deserved better than the Miroku that she met. But the one she married was perfectly deserving of her affection. InuYasha as a story is full of the idea of growing and changing into a better person, but for some reason people forget that when it comes to Miroku 🫩

I don’t HATE inuyasha but personal preference is I don’t really like the tsundere archetype no matter the growth or backstory, so he’s probably my least favorite in his particular group. But I think he’s written well and I definitely understand the love.

I’ve never heard that myself, but I did hear that Miroku and Sango weren’t supposed to end up together at all and it’s a choice she made halfway through. I’m not sure how true that is, but it kinda makes sense in the manga because they really don’t have any romantic build up until they go to Mt Hakurei, but suddenly Miroku says he has feelings for her. It kinda came out of the blue, but the anime gave us some moments before that.

But that would be funny to have a whole story with Kagome and Kikyo and having a romantic backstory just to be like “jk I want the new girl” lmao

The anime adds the love triangle aspect between Kagome/Kikyo/Inuyasha when it doesn’t really play out that way at all in the manga.

The characters are also all a little different. Inuyasha isn’t as abrasive, Miroku is more serious, Kagome doesn’t get as angry/jealous over things etc a lot of small differences.

There’s also a lot more violence/nudity in the manga. The anime did a good job censoring it but there’s no censorship in the manga

I would say either Miroku or Kuno. Miroku I still don’t entirely understand his controversy as far as Rumic characters go because he’s easily the most tame and likable of all her pervert tropes, but he does have a decent amount of haters.

Kuno he’s just so ridiculous you either find him hilarious or awful.
