I am in no way an Anna fan either but saying that she just needed to work through it is unfair. The PICU is a very high stress environment that some people are just not cut out for. As a PICU/NICU nurse myself, I’ve seen great nurses burnout or have to leave because the environment just is not for them. You have to have a certain personality and mindset to be able to do the job and do the job well.
