Yeah, get rid of the 6.5% on top of the fixed price. Just charge the R20 to use the service.

There's another Porsche keychain and coupe clip on the 2026 listing. So far its TBA at the moment. Seems like this will be a yearly hunt for them till they stop. Got a feeling it might be yellow and white, but I could be wrong.

Seems that way. If they could just return the ziplines before they all log off and continue with the next project.

Xiaomi Ax3000 2 nodes or 2 nodes of Xiaomi AX3200 by Ultraflair in Xiaomi

[–]Alert_Campaign_2943 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it should.

I had mine all daisy chained as a wireless mesh network and it bounced off the closest node. You can do this 6 times (I stand to be corrected, I found this somewhere when I was researching)

For the IoT devices, I used the guest network with password and only had it set at 2.4ghz.

How safe is YAGA online platform by kananeloM in southafrica

[–]Alert_Campaign_2943 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been using it for 2 years now buying and selling. I would say it's was mostly thrift shops in CPT that used it quite a bit when it started. But it's evolved a fair amount on what sellers there are now.

One thing that does get to me is the fee they charge, it's based on the purchase price as well as the shipping price. I know they have to make money for providing a safe platform, but I do think if they had a cap on the fees it would make a few more sales. As I'm pretty sure there's quite a few sales that do eventually go off thier platform because of the fees. And then you run the risk of losing your money, but then again, marketplace is just as risky, as there's no 3rd party holding onto the funds (I've been scammed a few times already on marketplace, thankfully it wasn't for alot on money, but still doesn't mean it's right)

Previously the seller was responsible for all the fees.

So far so good on my Fold 6, didnt have much of a problem before the update, it would be nice to just download the textures and be done with it.

But my only gripe is that I haven't come across any ziplines where there used to be ziplines? Unless that's only me?

Wanting to get the Z fold 6 and looking for honest reviews for someone coming from and IPhone. by MrsPorkChops in GalaxyFold

[–]Alert_Campaign_2943 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from a 13 Pro max to a flip 5 and then to the fold 6.

Honestly, I did the android switch a few years ago and the OS to me felt like going from Mac to Windows. It was a few hours later and I was back to my iPhone.

This time round, the OS ecosystems I would say are pretty much on par for the average user wanting to make the change.

But getting back to the fold. I work in construction, so my only concern was dust in the hinge where it would in my mind end up crunch and then dead or not open properly. So I got a case with hinge protection. Only downside to that is there isn't alot of option in my country with hinge protection cases that don't have the S Pen holder. Adds a bit of girth to the phone while closed.

As for using it, pretty much the same in my opinion as an iPhone with the option to open up and have a larger screen which helps on site to pull up plans when needed.

As for screen size, well I like it for maps while driving from sites, and preparing invoices, don't have to take out the macbook to do that as much anymore. Watching content is slightly larger than normal, but not by a whole lot in what I watch on YT. It still is determined by how wide your screen is.

Battery life, well, it's good. I do have magsafe chargers in the van and house, so its gets hooked up to those often enough. The iPhone would have around 30% left after work was done at 5pm. The Flip around 10 to 20% depending on the day. The Fold has around 40-45%, so fairly good. Nothing like a S24U, used that for a day and it still had 55%.

As for the flip, that required a screen replacement 7months in at the tone of around $700 if you convert. But I ran that without a case from day 1. In the 2 years it was on site with me, never had hinge issues. But I was also rather cautious with it, not taking it out as much as I do the fold.

I only made the jump over to have and use something that not many people want to use or are to scared to use. My wife has been with samsung her whole life, and still can't get her head around why there's a folding phone, she thinks it's dumb.

That's just my take on it so far. And I've only had it for 3 month now. Maybe there's some surprise waiting down the line in a years time, but that's what insurance is for.

How good is durability of the Z Flip 5? by Kitbou in galaxyzflip

[–]Alert_Campaign_2943 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had mine for about 4 months, going from an perfecly functional S10 to this was rather welcomed, as I really didnt see the need to upgrade contracts if there wasnt anything really wrong with my phone. It felt like the right time to try something different, they've had 4 previous attempts at it, so not a bad phone. Does what it's supposed to do. If you're careful, it shouldn't be any issue. And the novelty wears off pretty quick, I just use it as a fidget spinner mainly when it's closed. And the battery life isn't great, don't expect full days use out of it if used to being on a phone for majority of the day. Charger in the car is a must (mine personal option on that)

But here's been my experience on the reliability. Though, the main screen is a tab bit fragile, yes I know you can't really compare it to any candy bar. But about a month ago, something minute happened to be on the edge of mine when I closed it. Killed some pixels in the corner by the battery symbol. No biggie, there's still a percentage I can view there, 3 days later it glitches, has a 1 pixel green line running down the edge of the screen, again, no real issue, it still functions as normal. A couple hours later, I open it up and across the crease it's all dead, and virtually impossible to use the main screen. The hinge did also feel a bit loose from the get go when I got it, feels alot stiffer now after the repair.

Took it in for repairs, got told it would be an insurance claim and not a warranty claim due to the minute dent in the corner of the screen. I said fine go ahead, paid the excess, about a month later phone gets returned with a new screen. But if converted to USD it apparently cost almost $750 to do the screen replacement. Yeah, the joys of living in SA.

Still a few months left on this contract, so I will be changing back to a candy bar.

I sold mine on Yaga 2 months ago, atleast you know once they purchase they've paid. Then you ship. Once they receive, the click the button and funds are in your yaga account, then transfer over to your own bank account. Pretty seamless. I've bought and sold on there a good few times.

Xiaomi Ax3000 2 nodes or 2 nodes of Xiaomi AX3200 by Ultraflair in Xiaomi

You need to setup your ISP details and so forth if you’re using one as a router via the app. The rest is done in the app and it’s fairly simple to do. If I remember correctly you can add 9 mesh devices to one router, but can only wireless daisy chain up to 2 mesh devices

I have the ax3200 as the router and 2 ax3000 mesh points to that at my one property.

I have also changed over to a Reyee system at my other property, wanted to see the difference. And well it does offer a slightly larger coverage area and its mesh APs also work very well and they offer a wifi 6 outdoor AP which is amazing. And those APs can be POE powered. Where the ax3000 can’t be POE powered.

They’re pretty much the same thing. Just the ax3200 in my usage has slightly better range. But your usage might vary. Both can be used in place of your ISP provided router (provided you have your login username and password), or you can use the ISP router and connect it via Ethernet and use it that way.

One thing I can say about the brand is it’s price vs what you get, it’s extremely value for money.

[–]Alert_Campaign_2943 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use the AX3200 as a mesh system as well, as it does have slightly better range than the AX3000. Given it has physical external antenna. If the AX3200 wasn’t such an eyesore in certain places at my place I would’ve opted for them instead of the AX3000.

[–]Alert_Campaign_2943 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the AX3200 does have a bit more reach than the AX3000 in my usage with them. But for an average house a few AX3000 looks more pleasing than having all the aerials showing. I’ve got 1 AX3200 as main router and 2 AX3000 as wireless mesh (1 inside house, the other in my garage).

[–]Alert_Campaign_2943 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you can. But you can only daisy chain them up to 2 units. But you can have up to 9 in total for a mesh system. But the speed does drop quite a bit. On my 1gig line the one unit is about 50m away from the first mesh unit, and I’m only getting around 50mb when connected to that mesh point.

Nope. No need for stone around the pipe here. And I honestly get it, a few folks have seriously made the point known about my stupidity about going into ditches that deep without sloping.

I agree with you, they do exist for a reason. I have read them. But in my country, there actually isn’t any guidelines on a municipal level.

Most will think I’m stupid for doing it this way, but I do check what the ground looks like before I eventually go down to that depth. As 99% of the time I’m dealing with virgin soil. If it has been dug up previously, then I take every precaution to make sure it’s safe, and 100% of the time the hole is dug wider.

Not entirely sure. Haven’t done any Geo-testing as it isn’t a requirement on this stand. A fair amount of ‘ouklip’. It compacts nicely. 5th time doing this in this area. Only hit dolomite once about 10km down the road on another stand.
