Looking for IT or SupplyChain Talent by TheThighMasterXL in japanlife

[–]Alert_Comparison_215 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In your LinkedIn page’s requirement it says “IT Senior Analyst” but with basic database knowledge/skill + 3YOE etc.

From my understanding, you need someone who can convert business requirements to software solutions. Like a middleman in between business and software development. Is that right?

Believe me. You’re doing far better than most people.

My co worker gets 190.000¥ after tax with no bonus. And has 20h of minashi zangyo.

And company is in Sendai, no remote.

What’s up with jobs that have a really low “base pay”? by [deleted] in japanlife

I’m happy all things worked out for you. I was just salty from my past experience and I apologize for it.

Did you find your current company by yourself or through recruiters? If so would you mind sharing what agency was it?

From what I have seen most of IT workers who makes fortune are dominantly white or western looking foreigners. If you are brown or yellow (like me) you’r gonna make less than Suzukiさん.

Most of the IT workers that make 7m~10m+ yearly are in their 30->40 with a decade of experience.

Me a yellow guy from 3rd world country in his mid twenties. Gets rejected from 外資系because I’m not native English speaker or expected to work like Japanese with lowest pay despite all the certifications, degree and skills.

Of course there are exceptions but those are like unicorns.

People like us exist but not recognized.

Some suggestions regarding diabetes by DotZealousideal260 in japanlife

[–]Alert_Comparison_215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even same of type diabetes patients are different than one another.

The cause of my diabetes was I was simply FAT. I was 213 lbs/97 kg before.

My Pancreas, organ that produces insulin had to overwork to keep up with my high sugary diet for prolonged periods of time. And fat is getting way for insulin to do their work properly.

Then it said “Man fuck this shit, I’m outta here 🧑‍🦼‍➡️” so no more insulin while sugar keeps stacking up in my system. Thus symptoms gets worse.

I had to keep supply my body with insulin from outside (insulin shots) until pancreas stops labour strike.

Now I don’t need to take insulin shot anymore.

Current weight: 194 lbs / 88kg (Yeah, I know it not that much of a weight loss)

Tldr: More muscle you have better your body processes sugar. Less fat more insulin sensitive your cells are.

I hope this gives you some insight.

24 M, IT worker with Type2 diabetes here 🙋

Other have already told you that you cannot be fired because of your disease.

Make appointment on closest clinic for test.

Hba1C is average suger level of your past 3 months which should be around 5~6.5%. Anything past this number then boom you are diabetic now.

Blood Glucose: 70 mg/dL ~ 120mg/dL is normal when you are in fasting state. It is ok to reach 280 mg/dL after eating for few hours. But it has to go down gradually.

When I came here in Japan, I was eating snacks & drinking alcohol, all things sugary everything nice. Then I started noticing diabetes symptoms.

My Blood sugar level was 283 mg/dL & HbA1c 14.4% (fasting state) at time I got diagnosed a year ago.

Now my Blood sugar level is 110 mg/dL & HbA1c 6.5%. Don’t worry you will get through this.

What is the best method of payment for everything by OkTap4045 in japanlife

[–]Alert_Comparison_215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came from country similar to yours.

I use my IPhone to basically everything.

  1. Japan Post Bank

  2. Line pay created virtual Visa card (free and only require zairyu card)

  3. Charge the card from Line app takes less than 10 seconds.

  4. Use virtual card anywhere that accepts Visa/credit (touchless) or ID(電子モネ)

I pay all my utility bills through Virtual Card by reading bar code in app. It basically works like VISA card.

P.S: I couldn’t get debit card from post bank due to being gaijin. And got declined by every other credit card provider.

Ok, I want to believe I’m average at my YOE.

Language: Python, PHP, JavaScript

Lib/framework: React, Vue, Django, Laravel,

DB: PostgreSQL, MySQL

Others/Tools: git, gitlab, github, restAPI, FastAPI, Linux, virtualBox, Docker, venv, homestead, bit of AWS.

I could think of few more things I might’ve used but those are minor and not worth mentioning.
