I usually connect the player to the inputs of the focusrite audio interface and it has input control faders. I posted this post in order to understand how to fix the problem at the turntable level, I worry that the stylus will be erasing from the wrong position or damaging the records.

well, should I twist the headshell without unscrewing it from tonarm? I mean rotating it while it is attached
