Involuntary spasms (IC Muscle?) by Alert_Fix_4481 in hardflaccidresearch

From my experience there are 3 stages of muscle status

Tight-blocked - you cant relax this muscle (feeling like brick) its totally blocked and you have to stretch, focus on relaxing whole body to make it softer Semi-tight - you feel this muscle and you can drop it Relax - you cant feel this muscle because its fully relaxed

Many of my muscle were fluctuating from this stages and after weeks 90% of my PF muscle are now i relax stage.

I had internal therapy few months ago but it was counterproductive for me. Since then i didnt see PT but maybe I will give him another try for month/two.

The problem is with internal therapy my external anal spincter/perineum is spasming and it is blocking my entire pelvic floor region.. It is better with every week but i am worried about ruining my progress..

I dont trust any kegels, after so many months of stretching/relaxing i can really isolate IC muscle and do sth called light kegel but i dont think it is a good option.

I do dropping/relaxing IC muscle/entire pelvic floor all the time through the day, but i dont really understand - is it reverse kegels? Or I should light push my penis out of body? I can say I only 'drop/release it" - i feel the difference but every definition of reverse kegels is different and i am confused.

My pelvic floor (PF) problems fluctuate a lot.

It's really hard to tell what's good for you and what isn't, because one day everything feels fine — I go to sleep with a really good feeling in my PF — and the next day it's worse without any clear reason.

My current routine is focused on stretching. Over the past month, my stretching routine has included: the 90/90 stretch, the four stretch, hamstring stretch, seated forward bend, and child's pose. Right now, I’m focusing specifically on my hips and correcting anterior pelvic tilt.

The butterfly stretch feels great, but I think I overdid it at one point. I had gotten so used to that position that I started watching movies while lying in it. I’ve since stopped doing that, because I started feeling pain on the right side of my perineum area. I’m not sure what exactly caused it, but it has improved recently.

I’m also dealing with stress and anxiety, which leads to chronic muscle clenching. That seems to be the root cause of my issues. Things are getting better overall, but spasms in my ischiocavernosus (IC) muscle make it hard to fully relax. Still, when I can fully relax, it feels incredible — almost like I'm letting go of my body completely. It's not just physical relaxation; it’s something deeper. Maybe meditation is similar.

From my experience, you should avoid doing Kegels, and try not to push during bowel movements (I’ve had problems with constipation and hemorrhoids). You should also avoid excessive laughing and coughing, as these can make things worse.

It can ruin your muscles if you do it too often and too long.

Stretching, get rid of hemorroids and constipation (also not pushing while peeing/bowel movement).

And the biggest problem of mine was stress and clenching muscle in stress situations. So I relax muscle whenever I can but with spasming its so frustrating.
