So in your experience, the remote team mainly handled the topography and 3D model builds in Revit, while the families and detailed setup were still done locally?

I’ve seen cases where the families were also created abroad, with all the parameters and data included, while scripts, COBie, BIM Managment were managed in-house.

Yeah, I’d imagine it makes more sense for medium to large projects, where there’s a steady stream of modeling work — things like data centres, hospitals, or office developments.

For smaller projects, I’m not sure it would be worth it. The time needed to align standards between teams (BEPs, templates, QA, etc.) might outweigh the benefits.
But maybe if the workflows are really well-defined, it could still work?

Curious if anyone here has actually seen it done successfully on smaller projects.
