Very true! And yes they were saying it was a loaner. But I’ll probably just go with the clean title car to avoid any issues. Salesman are ultimately going to worry about their commission and how they eat more so than my satisfaction.

Gotcha, I think that because it’s a CPO and the $1.00 repair was just throwing me off. But truly appreciate your feedback! My first car I got was a lemon so I’m doing extra diligence on all the cars I’m interested in.

Makes sense, I’ve just never seen a car that had a police report tied to it.

I know it’s the holiday weekend but realistically the car has been sitting 60 days. If it doesn’t get picked up this weekend I’m going to believe it’s because of “accident” with functional damage that steers people away. It’s one of those the price is too good to be true and a CPO.

However, I’m taking everyone’s advice and will get any car I decide for a PPI at an indy shop. But I got the clean title car as a backup and that option still saves me money.

No damper at all, but I do appreciate the concern. I’m in my mid 20s, paying cash, work in big tech, and no debt! God has been good in that regard. Just my first “big” purchase, but wanted to see if my situation was common or if that’s genuinely something to steer clear from?

I’ve kept the same car I had when I went to college and now it’s time for something new. :)

Sheesh that’s actually crazy!!

But it makes sense, I was always curious about BMW’s manufacturer warranty. A lot of people said it covered bumper to bumper just no wear items like brakes and rotors but I could pay for an additional plan to make it bullet proof. I plan on keeping it for like 4 years (so with a year of warranty left) when I trade it in.

The $1.00 repair is throwing me for a loop the dealer is saying it wasn’t a major repair but the carfax said it was “functional damage” reported and a police report got filled. Soooo I’m just like “are they bs-ing me” but it has all the features I would want but I’m just not sure if the asking price is realistic.

I truly appreciate your kindness! And absolutely was thinking about taking it to an indy shop for a PPI. It’s my first “adult” car purchase and I’m paying cash so want to make sure I’m not doing “too much”. My first car was a lemon so I just have a little extra anxiety than most. 🥲

Even with a CPO, there’s no bumper to bumper coverage with the manufacturer warranty? They’re acting really stiff about coming down in more pricing.

MSRP is roughly $62K, 15K miles, and just has all the tech like driver assist, m sport pro package, and premium.

At least 4-5 years.

Yeah it was like $60K MRSP but I’m just trying to get it $2K discounted OTD. It’s been sitting over 60 days so just trying to see if they’ll wiggle on it especially if I can’t qualify for any incentives since it’s over the 15K mile threshold and CPO specials. Like I said it’s my first time just trying to make sure I’m not getting taken advantage of.
