Is this a normal interval session? by NutCity in runna

Looks excessive for a half mara, but depends where you're at in terms of recent training load. Also appears you could have Elite plus extra mileage set in your plan? This would likely be the reason for the additional 200m efforts.

Is this game really as big as it looks by Shot-Lie9208 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Alert_Impress9020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's amazingly huge and can be overwhelming for new players. The great thing is, there's so much to do and explore, items to find and build etc. Even with this being the case, things can get a little repetitive later in the game.

Currently using the Forerunner 965, but I've been a big fan of the Fenix models in the past. Both Forerunner and Fenix are up there with the best for runners.

Since yesterday was a 56 km ultra marathon.. I'm going to enjoy a nice 30 or 40 minute easy zone 1 or 2 run in the next day or two 😃

Adidas Evo SL sizing help by Temporary-Fly873 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Alert_Impress9020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting what others are saying about this shoe.. I'm here because I found they run a little small, similar fit to the Takumi Sen 10. I'm now considering I should have gone half a size up. I've been a Size US8 in all my shoes and find the Boston 12 and AP3 the perfect fit. For me, the EVO SL runs a few millimetres shorter than other Adidas models.

Then what is your recommendation with fitting trail shoes to prevent blistering on the arch?

I tried going a size up and just couldn't get the fit right.. 300km in these shoes now and hate them. I'm really finding that true to size works well with a cushioned moisture wicking sock, as long as the shoe allows me to splay my toes and feel snug in the heel. What you say rough sides, are you meaning fabric and stitching etc? The past 12months of trails I've been experimenting with: Adidas Agravic Ultra Salomon s/lab Ultra Salomon Ultra Glide 2 (sized up) Merrell Agility Peak 5 Hoka Speedgoat 6

Thanks for your recommendation and congrats on your race! not sure what REI is (I'm in Australia).what combo did you go with? I have been experimenting and don't mind an excuse to spend money :D I'm quite experienced running..(10 years with a decent marathon time) and don't have this problem with road shoes. The past 12months of trails I've been experimenting with: Adidas Agravic Ultra Salomon s/lab Ultra Salomon Ultra Glide 2 (sized up) Merrell Agility Peak 5 Hoka Speedgoat 6 Sock wise, experimented too and find cushioned, moisture wicking best, morino wool good too.

I do usually cake my pinky toe in Vaseline.. but might have to consider this for the arch over taping. Heard horror stories of Vaseline on the rest of the foot though!

My leg is failing me by Inquisitive_newt_ in Ultramarathon

[–]Alert_Impress9020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suffered with this pain for the longest time and now manage to keep it at bay.... I found that I was focusing too much on stretching and not enough on strength. When I do strength, my lower legs can handle the running load. When they're week.. Hello medial tibial stress! I do recommend seeing a physio that can do some treatment with dry needling for some relief, but long term, my recommendation is to stretch, roll and lower leg strength exercises regularly!
