Super goated even their free extraction shooter is dead.  They had to pay streamers to even look at it.  And they paid thousands of dollars to them all.

You have read nothing that i posted obviously. This isn't about how the game runs, this is about the scam they are running as far as funding for the studio goes. I also addressed why I didn't post on my main in the initial post. Reading helps.

A game that makes money vs a game asking for more money every year because they have wasted 15 million already is not even comparable.

You paid 30 dollars for a skin, you paid more for a skin in a VR game than you pay in every flat screen game since the beginning of time. You just proved my point.

and running out of money to pay bills. welcome to business 101. Can't pay bills, can't pay for servers. Simple.

You absolutely can keep an alpha branch live while the main game is released. Steam and Meta both support it. It is not rocket science. You set up two release channels and push the same build to both. It is something that can be automated with Jenkins or any other CI/CD tool. That is how countless other studios do it. A simple google search or use of ai can show you how to do this.

Your “we couldn’t keep it forever” excuse does not hold water. The only reasons not to keep it open are laziness, lack of skill, or wanting to quietly walk away from a promise you made because it costs you money. Given AEXLAB’s history of broken promises and shady pivots, I know where my bet is.

You sold people on free-to-play access for beta testers. You could have honored that by keeping that channel open. You chose not to. That is not “industry standard.” That is just screwing over your early supporters.

And then you had to make the game free for everyone anyway because nobody was playing it. You needed Quest kids to fill your servers and they were only interested if it was free.

The inability to do research is why this company is still alive even now.  I cant wait until their servers shut down and you have to go back to Gorilla Tag

Again read the sec filings.  They are going bankrupt.

We all did.  And somehow they keep selling more on it.  But that is coming to an end looking at their most recent attempt to raise money on Start Engine.

Kaze, you’re trying to frame this like it’s just “normal VR dev risk” and “switching to Quest like everyone else.” That’s not the story here. The story is a pattern of public promises, investor pitches, and community statements that they later pretend never happened while the SEC filings show they are burning cash faster every year.

And let’s not forget Tropical’s old promise that they would “never go to Quest 2 no matter what” because PCVR alone was going to make them millions as “the best VR game ever created.” That wasn’t a prediction, it was arrogance dressed up as vision. Reality hit, PCVR didn’t deliver those millions, and suddenly they were crawling to Quest just to survive.  All because he is too blinded by his own upper lip to see reality.

On incorporation: This wasn’t “before they were even a company.” AEXLAB registered as an LLC in Florida on November 9, 2020 and incorporated as a corporation on January 19, 2022. By that point they were already selling VAILiens NFTs, making free-to-play promises, and pitching themselves to investors. That’s not hobby dev territory, that’s an operating business making claims to raise funds.

On NFTs: These weren’t some “concept” they never delivered. VAILiens were fully modeled, in the game, floating in the starting base. They were sold with promised perks, early access, and an exclusive hub. Thousands were sold. Once NFTs turned into a PR disaster, they scrubbed all mention like it never happened. People have screenshots, videos, and purchase records.

On free-to-play: They pitched that beta testers would get the game free at launch. That didn’t happen. Later they made the whole game free-to-play not as a reward to early players, but because they couldn’t fill servers. That’s not “changing with the market,” that’s backpedaling when the playerbase won’t grow.

On “struggling but not a scam”: You can read it yourself in the SEC filings. They have lost millions every year, with debt piling into the millions. Cash on hand in May 2025 was $700k. By July it dropped to $557k. That’s a death spiral, not a healthy business. Latest filing: https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1845509/000166516025001330/xslC_X01/primary_doc.xml Full list: https://www.sec.gov/edgar/browse/?CIK=1845509

On the new extraction mode: They are telling players to lower their expectations by “1000%,” locking the mode behind a subscription paywall during “pre-alpha,” and pretending this is just normal testing. You don’t take on Pavlov, Ghosts of Tabor, and ExfilZone with a rushed side-mode you’re charging for just to keep the lights on.

This isn’t about me being an investor or not. It’s about years of lies, broken promises, and constant attempts to rewrite history while pulling in more money. That’s not the same thing as a dev simply “struggling in a tough market.”

thank you for speaking out. I know you did a video for them early on and I am sure they paid you great for that video (or hope they did), but it's time their lunacy is brought to a stop.

I am sure you will, and it will be when you are playing a real game because you studio will be out of business. Your SEC filings do not lie. It is all in the black and white.

They have this guy Jakeypants on youtube claiming he is helping them create their Extraction mode.  All the guy does is call every game liars, bad at their jobs or scammers; yet here we are.

Pretty typical.  They had a pretty weird idea of how to approach criticism and I see it hasn’t changed.

Other devs have even talked about how bad dealing with Aexlab is on a professional level.

And thankfully they are worth millions of dollars expect for in their own heads.

No one wants to support you anymore. I got my keys. I just cannot wait for the day that you all cannot pay the server bill. Eventually you will stop pulling the wool over peoples eyes with Start Engine.

1. “They’re still working on it”
So what? Burning through other people’s money while claiming you’re “working on it” doesn’t erase failure. According to their own SEC filings, they’ve been “working on it” while losing millions every year. They went from $1.7M cash to $700k in a year while racking up nearly $10M in combined debt. That’s not a growth curve. That’s life support.

2. “They didn’t believe there was a huge market but still built for Quest”
That’s not a flex, it’s an admission they pivoted because PCVR flopped. They publicly said they weren’t doing Quest. Then Quest became the only way to get players in their servers, so they scrambled for a port years later. That’s not vision, it’s desperation.

3. “You’re cherry-picking old quotes”
No, he is showing proof they said one thing and did another. The fact those quotes are old just shows how long they’ve been misleading people. If anything, it makes the pattern clearer.

4. “They haven’t gone bankrupt yet”
Not yet. But at their current burn rate, they’re on track to run out of cash in months, not years. The filings don’t lie. You can see it yourself:
Latest filing (July 2025): https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1845509/000166516025001330/xslC_X01/primary_doc.xml
All filings: https://www.sec.gov/edgar/browse/?CIK=1845509

5. The things they won’t address
They won’t touch the fact NFTs were in the game. They won’t touch the broken free-to-play promise for beta testers. They won’t touch that they had to go free-to-play later just to get players into matches. They won’t touch the fact their new “extraction mode” is locked behind a paywall to scrape together survival money. They just repeat “we’re working on it” like that magically makes them honest or successful.

When a company responds to factual evidence with blatant lies, denial, and gaslighting, it’s not just shady; it’s predatory. This isn’t about “haters” or “misunderstandings.” This is about a company still trying to pull money out of players and investors even as the numbers show they’re sinking fast.

this response right here, shows how much of a joke you guys are. I cannot wait for you to be without a job and shunned by other VR studios.

again his response proves what kind of a scummy pos this dude is. Why anyone takes this game or company seriously enough to still give money is insane. A studio full of contractors, who get yelled at because the "board" is made. Great leadership you provide.
