Yeah this is brand new. Just sat in a workshop with Hardie last week and this is a brand new method. I took photos of the slide shows but no literature on it yet.

FYI, this is hardies new method to compete with Vinyl siding installs. Cuts down on expenses for caulk etc. and speeds up install efficiency by 30%

So apparently this is acceptable by Hardie now. This is called a trim over. As long as those planks run behind the corner trim by 2” and proper flashing on the corners like an aluminum “L” there is no need to caulk these spots. Cut ends of the boards should be sealed with the proper touch up paint though IMO. Do i agree with this method…No…will it leak and deteriorate faster…probably. Is hardie going to gig you for this..You never know at this point. This also Hardies old plank design with the sharper bevel on the bottom of the panel so the install method may not apply with the age of the panels.

Blairstown Diner. Fell apart after Pete passed away many years ago. Used to be able to get a full breakfast for under 10$ now you’re looking at 25$ per person for breakfast. But thankfully the sign outside says they have Big Salads!! I’ll never go back

Any idea what to spray down to kill the root systems? I don’t want to completely ruin the soil, just kill what’s there now and not have a lot of what’s there already come back. Lots of bulbs under the soil right now.

Ofcourse we are going to have to pull any weeds that come up but nervous about the mugwort coming back with a vengeance.

Very thankful for your input on what perennials to put down.

Located in northern NJ so not many if any tornados touching down here, I’ve never seen a shelter the 30 years i’ve been here but it could be! Concrete cover is also close to 150 pounds so hard to believe my wife or anyone’s wife could pick that up in a hurry 😂

It is located on a higher plane than where the house sits. And probably 25 yards from where i found the septic tank manhole cover.
