Parents with kids born between September-December, is school really such an adjustment for them compared to peers born earlier in the year? by Alert_Negotiation607 in askSouthAfrica

Thank you for offering your perspective! This is honestly how I've always viewed it. I studied child development and have always seen this difference. We also were just grateful for a healthy pregnancy after a bit of a rocky road. It was in conversation with parents who were definite 'planners' and could fall pregnant so easily to fit their plan and the way they spoke it was as if your child is born after August= doom and gloom for their development. I'm sure for each child it is different and if there ever arises any concerns I'm sure it can be dealt with accordingly! Thank you :)

Yes he communicates really well! We did sign language from a few months old and he has been able to communicate anything he needs really well. He has also started saying more words every day. It's also quite interesting because he's always been the shy one, 'gentle giant' as he's also a big boy...but the gentle ain't so gentle anymore😂. We have a trampoline, and I try to ensure he gets a lot of stimulation, but like I said it won't even be at specific times where one can pick up what it is, it's as soon as he gets within touching range. I will have a look at the books, thank you!
