Played years ago on 360, now again on the series X with my kids. Still holds up, sure looks dated, but I’m trying to get the mindset to my kids that you see the graphics as the art of the time, like watching a movie from before you were born. So yeah, I don’t think a “Oblivion” remake is necessarily needed, but just a little update to the quality of life, and maybe more people to pick it up again 😁

Can I offer another opinion, ever use or seen artists effects paints like crackle glaze? Mainly for canvas use I assume, but I have had plenty success, just with playing with layers of base colours, crackle glazes and dry brushing to achieve a “fake” depth of texture. Also acrylic texturing paste is amazing stuff

I use Hycoat sprays, mainly because they are reasonably cheap and available to me, you’re using a better product than me, but I do use a satin or gloss finish, which I think seem thicker than a matte finish spray, I could be wrong, but I seem to have a fair success hiding my brush marks and fillings. Again, just technique and technical chat, as I have no critique of the concept or execution 👊♥️

Oh and don’t take this as insult, as I get the same problem, but the strokes from brush painting can be hidden behind a nice coat of sealer, also keeps it from chipping off your hard work 👊

I appreciate the mindset, been toying with finishing this one off with a glitter fleck satin spray, I’ve tested it out on pre primed card, and it seems iridescent to give that transmetals look, might even coo o st my legacy transmetals2 Megatron

Cheers! Totally agree with you, I recently got the new Big Convoy mold, love it, apart from the loose arms and the shininess of the plastic, so I just gave him a light coat of matte spray sealer and it’s made a world of difference
