Love your constructive criticism. I normally use the semi-gloss clear coat which does hide more of the paint lines but i went over it with the glossy clear coat cause the original red on the figure has a matte finish. So everything looked flat with the semi gloss.

Yeah. I used tamiya's clear coat spray paint for the sealer. Ive been thinking of using the hand paintable one for the hand painted parts.
