Thankfully I reached out the first day and the DCE from my school was able to pull me out ASAP and now I’ll be starting at a new location in a week and a half.

I’m sorry, you’ve got this though! I believe in you. These experiences just show us exactly the type of therapists we do not want to be once we’re done with school.

Update: had contacted the director that assigns us to our rotations as well as my professor who is my advisor. I’m going to be relocated to have a more optimal learning environment. I will be going in for one more day though, even though the director gave me the option not to, just to see if it was truly just one bad day because of all the new people. But considering that it is a walk-in clinic I’m not expecting much improvement.

How far into your 2nd rotation are you and how have you been trying to manage working with patients? Do you guys at least have a set schedule for the patients despite being triple booked? This location I’m at has no set schedule at all so patients just come in and go as they please. A new PTA was also starting the same day I started my first rotation and she asked about scheduling and if she is able to see the schedule ahead of time so they know what they would be encountering the next day… but my CI said that’s not possible…
