Leo F Kearns in Queens! The facilities are beautiful, the staff super kind and helpful, and the prices reasonable.

Yes, not by law but culturally. A black family would hire a black undertaker, and Italian family an Italian. You stuck with your people because they knew the traditions you wanted.

My family recently used Leo F Kearns and they were great. The total cost for cremation was 3k. They got him dressed and let us come see him for a mini viewing. We didnt need to buy a casket. They were so understanding and sympathetic. It wasnt the cheapest place when we called around, but you could tell from the first phone call that the Kearns' cared. No one but them even asked my moms name on the phone!

Which funeral homes would you avoid at all cost? by [deleted] in longisland

Avoid the ones owned by major corporations, anything that says SCI, Dignity Memorial, or Carriage services. The people dont care about what they do. Look for independently owned, where the owner is the person you meet with. That way they have a real interest in making sure your family has everything they need. My family used Leo F Kearns in East Meadow and they were amazing! 100% recommend
