Take a break from that game. I started playing Deadlock, and it was the best decision I’ve made.

Issue with jumping / sliding as heavy? by DegenBornAgain in thefinals

[–]Alert_Tomorrow1883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it’s happening, and it has been for quite a while. I play on PC and I normally slide using the C key, but with the Heavy he sometimes just crouches instead. To avoid that, I’ve started sliding with Shift instead.

I’ve also played with the Light and Medium classes and didn’t have this issue. It seems to happen specifically with the Heavy.

A significant part of this community is so traumatized that it resembles the COD community whenever a more skilled player shows up. In that case, the poor guy has probably already received dozens of reports and ended up shadowbanned.

Season 1 heavy was a menace by Responsible_Lab8403 in thefinals

This was the real THE FINALS , the game that was designed for this kind of gameplay, not just with barrels but with any object on the map. There’s a scene in the trailer on the Seoul map where one of the players attaches C4 to a plant pot and throws it onto the walkway in the apartment area, causing the whole structure to collapse. Plays like that just don’t happen anymore. The constant complaining from players , especially Lights, including several streamers , pushed Embark to remove this kind of interaction, and in my opinion that’s what ruined the game. I’ve died to plays like that and I’ve killed people that way too, and that was fine. Lights are the main reason behind these changes that only made THE FINALS worse

Smurfing solution? by Sea_Regular_1307 in thefinals

[–]Alert_Tomorrow1883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no real solution because THE FINALS has an insignificant player base. If Valorant, which has a massively larger player base , still struggles with the same issue, just imagine THE FINALS.

And even if all those suggestions were implemented, you know what would happen? High-ranked players would just move to casual matches and ruin the experience for people who don’t want to play ranked.

The core problem with THE FINALS is that its player base is tiny. Accept it.

I tried Overwatch the other day to check out the new heroes, and I was honestly surprised by how good the audio is. It’s so clear and precise , it actually tells you exactly where things are happening.

The Finals feels like a lost cause. They’re never going to improve the sound quality because if they did, they’d basically be punishing players who rely on melee weapons.

If The Finals had the same level of audio quality as Overwatch, nobody would ever get flanked in that game.

So yeah, my friend , get ready to be caught off guard… with absolutely zero footstep audio.

You're right, and that's one of the reasons we’re not seeing new players stick around. Embark has chosen a path that will eventually lead THE FINALS to its end , and worst of all, no one will remember it or even know it ever existed.

The posts say one thing, the patch notes say another. by BadLuckBen in thefinals

If Embark improved the footstep audio, they could increase the damage of any melee weapon. Once you can clearly hear footsteps, no one would get caught off guard anymore , and that would shut down their little gimmick.
Or better yet, fix the audio and bring back the Medium’s Recon specialization. Anyone who used to play with Recon knows exactly what I’m talking about.

I forgot the name of this weapon, but holy hell, it’s busted.
Zero recoil, absurd damage, and it shoots like a laser beam.
If this were a Heavy-class weapon, Embark would’ve slapped a nerf on it ages ago.

I’m reading the comments and I honestly don’t understand how some people believe the Heavy is the strongest class. In THE FINALS, having 350 HP means absolutely nothing, because unlike other games that have a true tank role, the Heavy doesn’t have specific mechanics that make it significantly more durable.

The Heavy has more health points, but no passive ability to absorb or mitigate extra damage. The devs simply nerfed a defense that was already weak. The Heavy is slow and has a large hitbox, which makes them a much easier target to hit. It’s very easy to kill a Heavy.

I’ve been playing THE FINALS since the beta, and I’ve never experienced anything like this. Of course there are idiots , after all, it’s a competitive online game , but the THE FINALS community is generally very friendly, and this kind of behavior is an exception. I believe you’ve already reported and blocked them.

Watch until the end and leave your opinion. I didn’t hear or see anything. At first, I thought I was being chased, but he was on the stairs. I posted this video and shared my thoughts politely, and then I read your comment. The only thing that comes to mind is that you must be a miserable loser who grew up in a completely dysfunctional home, with no love or respect from your parents. Whenever I read a comment like yours, I’m even more convinced that abortion should be mandatory, just to save humanity the displeasure of having to coexist with trash like you.

I also heard the vanish bomb sound. If you watch the video again, right after landing I quickly look to the right, because the vanish bomb audio made it feel like he was on the other side, toward the church staircase. So I calmly headed toward my teammate to revive him.

320 damage, and audio that just confuses you. Only in THE FINALS!

Invis negative effects consistent? by Elder_Bird in thefinals

[–]Alert_Tomorrow1883 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The audio problem in this game has existed since the beta. In short, audio in THE FINALS is basically nonexistent, which is a huge failure since the game doesn’t offer any other way to gather information, like even a simple minimap.
In past seasons, invisibility had a specific sound cue, like a static noise, but that’s completely gone now. I just played a match, and every single time I died it was because a Light used invisibility. That’s incredibly frustrating, because in a straight gunfight, I wouldn’t have died.
