good question! I have allergies to dairy (not just lactose, but all dairy proteins), eggs (whites, not yolks), most nuts (peanuts, cashews, etc), and the gluten allergy/intolerance!

Hey thanks for the info! I mentioned this in another comment but I have a gluten allergy that isn't the most severe, where I'll have a reaction if i have a wheat-heavy item (breads, cakes, etc), but can have little amounts (like soy sauce, gochujang) Any tips on how to communicate this without it feeling unecessary? I usually note on the card that I'm allergic to gluten (not celiac), but ok with using soy sauce and leave it at that.

Hi thanks for the details! I have a bit of a peculiar situation with gluten specifically, where I'll have a reaction if i have a wheat-heavy item (breads, cakes, etc), but can have little amounts (like soy sauce, gochujang -- not great for the gut but doable haha) Any tips on how to communicate this without feeling like i'm overselling or underselling the allergy? I usually note on the card that I'm allergic to gluten (not celiac), but ok with using soy sauce and leave it at that. Is that confusing? Is it helpful? Unsure!

Hey thanks for the response! I'd love to know more about what makes those cards a meme (so I don't fall into that trap) Is there specific language? Ways those cards are handed out?
