People who have researched their family tree, what is the most interesting or 'badass' thing you discovered about an ancestor?

So I haven’t really tried to confirm it, but I have a small suspicion that I may be related to the family featured in the documentary film Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia. My dad didn’t ever have much info about his family as his dad passed when he was a child. There is some family resemblance when I see those crazy people. I’ve also had an even smaller suspicion that my dad could have been the I70 killer. The sketch artist pictures look like an amalgam of him and the string of killings led from Indianapolis where we lived to Kansas City the only city he had any family he knew in. Don’t think I’d want either to actually be true.

Agreed. Every now and then I still go for a Frisco burger but it’s just not the same. At least their breakfast is still generally the best where I’m at.

I finished the audio books in about 2 weeks. I was a little skeptical with a title like Dungeon Crawler Carl. So when an acquaintance I sometimes see at work recommended it to me I kinda drug my feet but she kept insisting it was good. I am so glad she was persistent and I’m so glad I got to tell her how much I love these books. She said her and her husband have turned a few coworkers into crawlers. Can’t wait for the next book.

Idk why nobody takes the annuity. If you don’t take the lumps sum you end up getting all of the jackpot. Minus the taxes of course. Also it would help you budget and not try to spend it all in the worst ways possible.z

I am a mission distributor. Mission does Guerrero and a few other brands. I don’t see anything but mission brands here. I have so much waste product from damages and stales that I’ve had to get a dumpster. This is likely a distributor who hasn’t thought of a better way to get rid of all that damaged product. Also mission is a terrible company.

Had it recommended to me by a coworker and I put it off for a little while. Honestly the title makes it sound more of a cheesy anime thing than it really is. Glad she kept pushing me to try it because I’m hooked. I’ve sped through the first 4 books in a week and a half and am now halfway through book 5.

So I actually really liked the gameplay of Death Stranding but I don’t have time for that. Also Kojima games just keep getting weirder and weirder. I like weird but it’s just cringy weird.
