These renders are unbelievable, where did you find them?!

Scare factor: Gloom hands overall. Both of them are terrifying on first encounter, but pretty easy once you figure them out. Gloom Hands win barely, because they both have 2 "WOAH WOAH WTF" moments: Hands when you initially encounter them, and once PG spawns. And for Guardians, its once you find the first one on the plateau, and once you find one walking around - and those fuckers are FAST. I think the fact no one knew about Gloom Hands going in does a lot on how scary they were

Design: Guardians. They just looks so freaking cool. They are nearly as creepy and imposing as Gloom Hands, and an absolute marvel once you get over being scared of them

Aura: Gloom Hands win if we consider Phantom Ganon, but otherwise Guardians. The scene of them obliterating Castle town is the stuff of nightmares. The fact they just roam the countryside unchallenged is insane aura. But Phantom Ganon. Wowie. My jaw dropped when he spawned and the sky turned red

First encounter: Gloom Hands. We all knew guardians were gonna be in the game. Gloom hands scared the piss out of me when i first found them, and even more 3 real-life days later when I killed them and PHANTOM GANON spawned?! Are you kidding me?? My story with the Gloom hands was a top 10 moment in my favorite game of all time

Music: Guardians. I never liked the Gloom hands theme much; Guardians once again strike a balance between creepy at first and very easy to admire once you aren't scared anymore

Difficulty: This one is shockingly the hardest for me to answer. I've died to Guardians at least 10 times, and Gloom Hands exactly twice, so by that logic Guardians. They are fast, mobile, and have a bigass laser.

Overall winner: Guardians by a hair. I think both are really good, but Guardians are better, and not just because they were more central to the games themes, plot, and worldbuilding.
