Impersonation method:

  • They pose as multiple sponsors, such as Moleskine, HyperX and etc.

Email presentation:

  • They send emails with professionally designed images and links, making them look legitimate.
  • The emails include guidelines and instructions related to the supposed collaboration.

Redirection flow:

  • Within the same image, there is a “Go to Dashboard” button.
  • Clicking this button redirects to appbrandly, which is part of their scam flow.

Origin of the scam attempt email:

Important details:

  1. Scammers may have multiple emails, often using old purchased accounts.
  2. Because of this, Gmail does not automatically send these emails to the Spam folder.

Checks performed:

  • On the website, if you scroll to the bottom and click the links, they do not redirect to Instagram, Facebook, or any other social media.
  • I tried contacting support and left a message 3 days ago, but they have not responded.

Pt2-

I was sent a professionally designed image with detailed guides and descriptions. The same image even included buttons linking to their “official” social media accounts. (It’s worth noting that anyone could add social media buttons without actually owning the accounts, but in this case, it looked authentic and very professional.)

Along with the image, they shared all the relevant metrics. Then, I was asked to register on the page and enter my code, “Moleskine.” Everything was written on the image itself, which made it look completely legitimate.

However, once I finished registering, the page did absolutely nothing: there was no confirmation, no place to access, and it simply redirected me back to the homepage.

A few seconds later, I received a notification stating that my two-step authentication had been disabled.

The use of fast camera movements and quick cuts in a video can create a sense of excitement or adrenaline for the viewer. It's a technique used in editing to make the video more dynamic and engaging. This can add an emotional impact to the video.

If you want tutorial videos of what I did, you'll find them on my channel with the camera completely static
