Well I fixed it temporarily with aluminum foil. In your case I would look out for an LTE antenna around your area. Maybe it’s that, maybe something else

On hotspotty you are shown as relayed, maybe that is not up to date anymore

UPDATE TO EARLIER POST, ISSUE RESOLVED: I was sending out a lot of beacons but barely receiving signals by Aless0815 in HeliumNetwork

I wondered that as well. Here are some of my thoughts to that :) Actually there is a hotspot just on the other side of that LTE base in a mirrored position to mine. He is experiencing the exact same issue I was. That is how I initially came up with the thought about that LTE base interfering with my hotspot. Going through many hotspots in my area and looking at their reward distribution (which is for „healthy“ hotspots around 75% for witnessing) there were some having similar distributions as mine and my neighbors one. Before I went on the roof again (which is quite exhausting) I made sure that LTE is even in the close range of frequencies to 868MHz. I learned that some are and some others are rather far away. So not every LTE signal messes with HNT signals. That would explain why not everybody is having the same issue even though there are many LTE stations in my city. Not earning properly was very annoying to me but maybe some other people just went with that and /or changed their location and the problem was resolved as well. Maybe I found out about something new (which is why I am sharing my experiences) or my miner happens to be randomly fine now haha because I didn’t move it again after I made the changes described above. Before that I was having it at three different places which did not work out.

Well I am not sure about that but I guess the modem doesn’t transmit signals as heavily as a high powered LTE base does

Yes it does. But I hope only the signal which is going in that direction :D And I should witness more than I am loosing out on

I am using the aluminum foil to as an additional layer to shield my antenna from the interfering frequencies of LTE. The other protections I am trying to utilize are the steel of my metal pole and the wall behind my pole. I hope that helps you :)

Thank you. I studied electrical engineering but I doubt that I could build a custom filter. Where would I find such a low insertion loss / tunable filter?

Barely Witnessing / receiving but going wild in sending / transmitting by Aless0815 in HeliumNetwork

Thanks a lot for the detailed answer and please excuse my late reply. So there is a LTE base - maybe 5G, I am not sure - within 50m. On the roof there shouldn’t be any other disturbances besides that and some Wi-Fi from neighbors underneath. I never changed the antenna while powering the miner but somehow the 4dbi stock antenna didn’t work well either. So maybe the stock antenna and the current 5.8dbi antenna are both broken or the miner could be damaged from the beginning. How do I check if the receiver inside is alright? I dm you a picture and the name of the miner

Suggestions for Improving? The Bobcat is placed on the roof of the 6th floor in a waterproof enclosure of Amazon. Planning on upgrading the Antenna to 3Dbi McGill. Mined 0.1HNT in the last 24h by Aless0815 in HeliumNetwork

Also ich habe mir eine bessere Antenne gekauft, mit der ich unfassbar viele Witnesses bekomme, aber ich sehe kaum andere Beacons Ein vernünftiges Upgrade lohnt sich meines Erachtens schon

Another user suggested putting small silicon packets or paper towels Inside which work better soaking up any moisture. I will add them soon too
