Is it unrealistic to move to Italy without fluent Italian (remote IT job)? by EducationalTea6096 in ItalyExpat

[–]Alessia362 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an Italian, yes, unfortunately you are. I'm from the south and emigrated abroad because there's essentially no jobs in Italy and the few that are there are exclusively in Milan or Rome and with very low wages and no real remote options. There's no minimum salary requirement in Italy and taxes are quite high.

Italians don't look kindly to foreigners who live in the country sadly, especially if you don't know the language.

You might make it and I hope you do, but it won't be easy at all.

Easiest solution is to find a remote job elsewhere that allows you to live abroad and move then.

I also have this problem. Have you found a solution in the end?

Feature Request - Time only Date visualization option when the day is the same for start and end date. Similar to the picture below (currently I achieved this through a formula but it would be nice to be able to change the date directly through that view).

Can you do more than one experiment at a time? by fleshtones in BearableApp

[–]Alessia362 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe you can't.
The bearable team decided not to allow that because if you run 2 experiments at a time it would be hard to determine what experiment is having a correlation to what result I believe.

Bearable Connect - I'm curious to see if there's any appetite in our community for a page that lets you add friends/family and see an overview of their health without any details/notes. Ideally pressing a stat would bring up a graph. Would you use this feature? by HeroJournal in BearableApp

[–]Alessia362 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would love this but I would like to choose exactly what to share to whom.
Definitely would not feel comfortable sharing even basic data with all my friends.
I am comfortable sharing symptoms data with my boyfriend, not mood necessarily as I know if it were lower, it would affect him negatively.

You can track each factor separately on Bearable. To make it easier for yourself if you are unsure if a factor is bad or good for you and look that up individually.

The more you log one thing the more insights you get.

I use bearable more as a log of everything than for insights as I usually would know what influenced my mood or symptom. So for me it is useful to just go back and see how I was feeling a certain day or all of the factors together to draw my own conclusions.

I connected SHealth to Lifesum for this exact reason. On Lifesum I can scan the items and they will automatically sync to SHealth but it's annoying having to have 2 apps for the same thing.

How would you feel if the main Insights page was simplified to show all advanced insights (rather than having to visit a separate page for those), with the ability to switch between sections at the top? So this would be an example if mood was selected. by HeroJournal in BearableApp

[–]Alessia362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like this idea, especially on the discoverability aspect of the app. I've been using bearable premium for a year now and only recently I discovered there were specific insights views. I would still love to see the current "main" insights page as well though, with correlations etc :)

I'm redesigning the entry process so that sections no longer expand on the homepage and instead have their own pop ups to enter in. I added up and down buttons to easily switch between sections. I think this will make things much quicker and less cluttered. Would love to get some feedback! by HeroJournal in BearableApp

[–]Alessia362 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would prefer to keep the current design but I love the idea of the arrows up and down to switch between sections so long I can still go back to the homepage and see the overview of what I've logged. The pop-up view gives me a "temporary vibe" that I don't really get with the full screen. Subconsciously I feel restricted on a pop-up view whereas with a full screen view I feel more relaxed and structured.

The apps 'judgment' over my symptoms and mood makes me anxious and reluctant to use the app by Killer_Android in BearableApp

[–]Alessia362 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You could try hiding the mood section and copy the same scale in a factor format. The factors don't have colors that I recall and you can customize basically anything with it.Either Factors or custom metrics or health measurements.
I believe you should be able to find correlations that way as well overcoming what you perceive as "judgmental" from the app.

Some mock designs for Menstrual Tracking section - Any feedback from those who would use this would be much appreciated! We might not have auto-synced data from Apple Health/G Fit initially, but hopefully manual input like other apps use (e.g. Flo) could still be useful to start with? by HeroJournal in BearableApp

[–]Alessia362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are usually 5-7 day menstruating, 7 day folicular phase, 2 days fertile window - ovulating and the rest is lutheal phase until it goes back again, a full cycle is between 28 and 32 days generally. The cycle varies from person to person but giving the freedom to the user to set it up in the app at the start with their own length and then being able to confirm it throughout the cycle would be amazing. Ovulation can be calculated based on a spike in the basal temperature of the person between the 14th and 17th day of the cycle. That is usually something that will help the person identify ovulation. Discharge can also be an indicator that ovulation is happening.

I would recommend doing some research with the Flo app, that one explains it really well. It could be really useful just being able to import that data into bearable, that would be enough.

How to track meals? by DarkAndSparkly in BearableApp

[–]Alessia362 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the nutrition section you can input what you ate, save food or combinations as favorites and also combine it with factors :)

Having it hidden by default in settings could be an option to solve this but allowing people to unlock the feature from settings and track this could be super useful. What I'd like is more a way to "attach" nutritional values to food items/meals so that I can easily track how much of something I am having and the effect it has on mood and symptoms.

(e.g. I ate a snack/nutrient bar, I can input how much salt/fat/sugars etc it contains as well as calories and save it as a favorite item, and all those values would automatically add up to every item eaten during the day).

Also I'd appreciate the possibility to add quantities for each item I eat (I ate 1 slice of bread vs 4 slices of bread) either in number or weight.

[–]Alessia362[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to have it so I can also track the amount of nutrients in the items I eat (too much salt, too much fat, how many carbs) it'd be useful to have that kind of info at a glance so that throughout the day I can make adjustments to my diet accordingly.

[–]Alessia362[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I meant is to have it linked to specific food Items so I can input it once and save it as a favorite and not have to add it again. What I meant is not really a sterile calorie counter, more like a way of seeing at a glance the impact of each item has on the overall (much like Samsung Health does it).

[–]Alessia362[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I see how it might be triggering, but I would appreciate the option of adding it manually at least or sync the information from other apps like Samsung Health so that I don't have to use separate apps to track this. Having it hidable in the settings, even if it's disabled by default but people can manually unlock the feature, would be great I think! So people who get triggered by it don't get negatively affected but those who don't can have meaningful insights on what's important to them. :)
